Heppner Gazette-Tim es, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, April 11,2012 Over the Tee Cup The Willow Creek ladies held their opening day activities on Tuesday, April 3. The morning started with a greeting by the Wil low Creek Country Club b o a rd ’s p resid en t, G ary P ropheter, and w as fo l lowed by a delicious break fast, cooked and served by the ladies’ board. The spring business meeting was held, and a do nation to the WCCC to pay half of the cost of replacing new flags, flag sticks, cup liners and putting-green flags was approved by the membership. The ladies’ officers for 2012 are: president. Pat Edmundson; vice-president, Jackie Allstott; secretary- tre a su re r, C orol M itc h ell; and board m em bers, Bernice Lott and Darcee Mitchell. The scramble team play of the day included a special event o f Easter egg prizes hidden around the course for the individual players to find. S c ra m b le tea m - play winners for the day were: First place— Con nie Jones, Lorrene Mont gomery, Kathy Prater and Nancy Propheter. S e c o n d p la c e — Betty Carlson, Pat Dough erty and Virginia Grant. Third place (tie)— Kim Seewald, Bev Steagall and Karen Thompson; and Loa H eid em an , D arcee Mitchell and Bernice Lott. The WCCC ladies' club will have a 10 a.m. tee time each Tuesday in April. Participants are asked to arrive 20 m inutes early so the comm ittee can as sign groups to their start ing holes. All WCCC lady members are welcome to join the Tuesday ladies for golf. Community lunch menu Elohim Covenant Church members will be serv ing lunch on Wednesday, April 18 at St. Patrick’s Senior Center. The meal will include sweet and sour chicken, rice, mixed vegetables, coleslaw, egg rolls and fortune cookies. Milk is served at each meal. Suggested donation is $3.50 per meal.
