Stan Weiper led the Cardi
nal Football team to another
win during preseason play.
W inning the First home

up 36 points in the first
half, our team responded
extremely well to shut out
Dayville/Monument in the
second half. 1 was very

the way we responded when
we were down two touch

Thursday her in Heppner

This year’s team is
a mix of a great bunch of

been fortunate to get a lot
of time in the gym and have
many different players on
the floor. They have shown
some promise at times and
are continuing to progress
as a team.
The varsity team
has played in four tourna
ments. They traveled to
Yakima Sept. 9 in a 32-team
tournament. Playing in the
second seed, they posted
a win over Annie Wright
and Selah JV. They played
G oldendale in the final
game and lost, but played
great volleyball. Their fin
ish was in the tope 10 of all
