business, Buschke said the
heat pump at the apartments
needs to be replaced at a
cost o f $20,800, and she
asked the council to use part
o f the funds from the sale of
the HUD house on Court St.
to pay for the unit.
“ We are request
ing that the council consider
using the profit realized
from the sale o f the HUD
house to fund this p ro j
ect,” she said in a letter to
the council. “The Senior
Center’s share o f this cost
is $4,576 and would leave
$16,224 for the Heppner
Housing A uthority cost.”
The city received $18,229
net profit from the HUD
house sale.
The council took
no action but some council
members questioned if the
city should ask the commu
nity for other possible uses
o f the money. The council
took no action.

with the owner, who moved
the vehicle.

said there was a suspicious
vehicle parked in the ditch
near the orchard.

and bit a little girl on the
ankle causing an altercation

a deputy to make contact
with him.

a man in Irrigon saying that
he had found two dogs.
One was a dark colored pit
bull and the other a black
lab. Both had collars on
but no tags.

from a woman in Boardman
who says that she and her
friend and their kids were
at the park. When the caller
tried to use the restroom she
was told by a man that she
needed to leave.

about a minor with possible
heat stroke.

to a minor for no operators
license and no insurance.

Fernandez Frias, 20, for
Assualt I after a caller in
B oardm an rep o rted that
four males were fighting
and o f o f the subjects was
on the ground.

a woman in Boardman who
said her, her brother and his
girlfriend had gotten into a
verbal altercation. There
was no alcohol or weapons
involved.
June 28: Morrow County
S h e riffs O ffice issued a
citation to Eduardo Venegas,
18, for violating the speed
limit o f 91 mph in a 65 mph
zone.

regarding her stepson and

reports that the father has
been verbally harassing his
stepson and has tried to run
him off the road when he
was riding his bike.
