ing a barbecue from 11:30
a.m. to 1:30 p.m. There
will be children’s games
and small dog races fol
lowing the barbecue in the
afternoon.
The com m unity
play, “The Star Theatre in
Film and on Stage,” (writ-
ten by Doris Brosnan and
Sharon Harrison) will have
their first performance at
6:30 p.m. on Friday night,
with a matinee at 2 p.m.
on Saturday. Tickets will
be $10 per person and will
be available starting on
Wednesday, May 25 at the
Bank o f Eastern Oregon,
Community Bank, Mur
ray’s and the chamber of
fice. Anyone interested in
attending is encouraged
to buy tickets early before
they sell out.

Extension hosts open house

The Oregon State University Morrow County
Extension Service will host an open house to celebrate
100 years o f service. The open house will also serve to
bid farewell to office coordinator Darcee Mitchell and
welcome the new coordinator, Ashley Mund.
This will be a great opportunity for Ashley to
meet the folks o f Morrow County. All are invited to the
Morrow County extension office from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
on Thursday, May 26 for a catered pulled-pork lunch, or
just to say hi.
The extension office is located at 54173 Hwy
