Heppner FFA Chapter was
represented well and had
contestants in all but one

inson with his speech titled,
“The Wolf Story”; Julissa
Sanchez received second
place in Creed Speaking;
Ryan Dougherty placed first
in Beginning Public Speak
ing with her speech titled,
“ Drosophila Suzuki: The
Tiny Invader”; and Joslynn
Troxell placed second in
Beginning Public Speak
ing with her speech titled,
“The Benefits o f School
Gardens.”
These speakers, as

Fair will be held this Thurs
day, February 10, at the
HES gym. There will be a
slight change in format this
year, with the high school
students having an opportu
nity to meet with health care
providers to learn about
health care related careers
from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The elem en tary
fair will begin at 6 p.m.,
with the raffle drawing to
start at 7:30 p.m. All K.-6
students, a along with their
parents, are invited to at
tend, for a fun-filled, edu-
cational evening visiting
booths loaded with healthy
inform ation and activi
ties. Raffle tickets will be
given out at no charge for a
chance to win some really
nice prizes, including some
new bicycles.
A free taco dinner
will be served from 5:45 to
7:00 p.m.

Heppner Elementary School
Parents for Parents group, a
Parent Teacher Club com
mittee formed to support
