There is one event
that has a great deal of

this event is manufacturing

copies are then donated to

lone American Legion & Auxiliary
to establish Perimeter of Flags
The lone American
Legion and Auxiliary has
recently been assigned to
establish a Perimeter o f
Flags to be displayed at
the lone High View Cem
etery each memorial day
weekend. The concept of
this plan will be similar to
the Avenue of Flags at the
Hermiston Cemetery
A Memorial Day
Flag Fund has been set up at
the Bank of Eastern Oregon
by Ruby Ann Rietmann-
Rhode in member of her
husband. Dean Rhode, to be
used for the initial purchase
of materials and construc
tion of the display. Anyone
wishing to have their cas
ket flag flown in memory
o f a military veteran can
sponsor a flag pole and do
nate their casket flag to the
lone Legion Post for that
purpose. The name of the
deceased will be designated
on the flag. From that point
on, the lone Post will be
responsible for the display,
care, and storage of those
flags when not in use.
A lot of details have
yet to be finalized. Sponsor
ship of a flag can be done at
anytime in the future, but it
will be a great help to ob
tain an initial number from
which td begin. Comments
and questions may be ad
dressed to the lone Ameri
can Legion. Commander
Bob Baker is overseeing the
project and can be reached

This amount represents all of the 1979 outstanding Capital
Patronage Credits, and several credits from more recent

uity in the member-owned cooperative. With the addition
of the $250,000, the Co-Op has returned $3,279,697 to

Multiple account holders will receive a single check for
all accounts. Funds are expected to be disbursed in mid-
