ball, serving often as team
captain. She has been a
member and officer of both
National Honor Society
and Key Club, and served
Youth Advisory Council.
Kayla plans to attend Blue
Mountain Community Col
lege and become an X-Ray
Technologist.
The Board of Di-
rectors of the United Way
of Umatilla and Morrow
Counties has approved
funding distributions to
local non-profit organiza
tions for 2010-11, as recom
mended by the 28 member
United Way Community In
vestment Committee which
is made up of community
volunteers.

The United Way
allocations committee spent
six weeks analyzing partner
Jason Hendricks
has demonstrated his lead
ership skills by being a
member of Riverside’s pep
band, and a district Scholar
Athlete in track and field,
football, and basketball.
Jason acquired the Eagle
Scout Level in Boy Scouts
of America: building and
installing benches and
trash containers for the
city; cooking and cleaning
for Fourth of July breakfast;
serving in the color guard
for the community parade.
Jason plans to attend either
Oregon State University or
Eastern Oregon University
and pursue a degree in en
gineering.

Willow Creek
Water Park to
open June 12
Willow Creek Wa
ter Park will open for the
2010 season on Saturday,
June 12. Weather permitting
the park will be open until
midnight.
Regular hours are
Monday through Saturday
1-8 p.m. and Sunday 1-5
p.m.
Three sessions of
swim lessons will be held
this year. The first will be
June 28 through July 8. The
second will be July 19-29.
The last session will be
August 9-19. The cost for
swim lessons is $35 per
session or $30 if you have
a swim pass.
Individual passes
are $75 and family passes
are $150. Daily rates are
$2 for 0-4 years and senior
citizens, $3 for 5-17 years,
and $4 for adults (18+).
