Lemmon finishes sixth in state wrestling
The Oregon Mid

Tournament was held on
March 13 in Woodburn.
About 270 wrestlers from
114 teams converged on
Woodburn high school to
determine who were the
best middle school wres
tlers in Oregon at each of
the 17 weight classes. All
of the state participants had
to qualify by placing in the
top four in one of the four
Oregon regional qualifiers
held the previous weekend.
Middle school wrestling
does not divide classes by
school size so it truly is a
competition to determine
the best in the state.
Eleven Mustang Jr.

the eastern Oregon quali
fier in Boardman on March
6. H eppner was one o f

won three matches by fall,
one by technical fall and
one by major decision to

included winning a regional
championship in 2009.
At the state tourna

bout. He won easily by a

quarterfinals to the same
opponent that defeated him
