The City o f Hep pner reminds citizens that all dogs over the ages of six months must be licensed. The licensing pe riod covers January 1,2010, to January 1,2011. Licenses cost $7 per year for spayed or neutered animals and $ 15 per year for those that are not. Currently the city is notifying all dog own ers who have not renewed licenses for 2010, or who have been identified as hav- ing an unlicensed animal on their property. When applying for a new license, a current rabies immunization cer tificate is also required. This policy helps identify dogs that are lost or picked up, and in many cases, the owners can be notified and their pets returned.
