Walk MS Heppner is a simple and incredibly powerful way for the com munity to come together and support family, friends, and co-workers affected by MS. Every dollar raised makes a difference in the life of someone living w ith MS. The day will begin with on-site registration at 8 a.m. at All Saints Episcopal Church on 140 NW Church St. in Heppner. Sheriff’s Report Spicer recognized as “Outstanding Volunteer” The Morrow Coun ing, two shots within the last five minutes were dis charged within 150 yards of her residence. She believed it was hunters. A deputy contacted the landown ers and the hunters. The hunters had permission to hunt in the past, but did not this year. The property owner did not want to press charges. -MCSO received report from a Boardman Police officer that three vehicles were lined up east of the 1-84 exit on the east- bound side of the freeway. Dispatch could see them on the Boardman traffic cam era. The vehicles left before a deputy could arrive. -MCSO deputy ad vised of a disabled vehicle with no one around. He will check on it later. -MCSO received report of a cooler, a pair of Nikes taken from a campsite on Tupper Butte. The caller believed someone with the forest service picked up the items because the trash in the camp fire was also picked up. -M CSO deputy advised he was out with a disabled vehicle with a flat tire in lone. -MCSO received report of a fuel drive off in Lexington. -MCSO received report of a vehicle driven erratically on 1-84, Board- man. MCSO deputies were out on an injury motor vehi cle accident in the south end of the county so the caller was transferred to OSP. -MCSO received report of animal neglect, abuse. The animal was be ing taken care of and has food and water. -M C S O , O SP, Heppner Ambulance and Heppner Fire Department received report and re sponded to a rollover motor vehicle accident with an injury on Hwy. 207-Echo/ Lexington Hwy, Lexington. The patient was transported to Pioneer Memorial Hos pital. -MCSO received will begin at 9 a.m. at the city park. After the walk, people can return to the church for a free pancake meal and raffle. He was lodged at Umatilla County Jail on a Wallowa County Warrant for Failure to Appear/Fumishing Alco hol to a Minor and Minor in Possession. MCSO also cited Dustin Michael Ti- etze, 19, for MIP-Alcohol and a 16-year-old male juvenile. -MCSO received a request for traffic control if possible for a funeral in lone. A deputy responded. -MCSO, Boardman Police Department received report from a Boardman man that he woke up to find his gate open and five hors es, two bays, two bays and a Shetland pony at large. The subject was rounding up his horses. -MCSO cited Mar tha Ruiz De Renteria, 43, for Violation of the Basic Rule, 82 mph in a 55 mph zone. He was also warned for Failure to Carry Proof of Insurance and Failure to Carry Registration. -MCSO received report from a Boardman subject that she had been hearing shots all morn- Ann Spicer was recently awarded the Friends of the Hep pner Library “Outstanding Volunteer” Award at the Feb ruary 11 “Love Your Library” evening meeting. Spicer has volunteered at the Heppner Library for over 20 years. A deputy made contact with OSP, who had the vehicle in a traffic stop on Hwy. 207. -M C S O c ite d Wayne Lee Farrens, 63, for Violation of the Basic Rule, 77 mph in a 55 mph zone and Ginger Karen Farrens, 62, for VBR, 77/55. -MCSO received report of two dirt bikes driving up and down the canal in Boardman. Depu ties responded and were unable to locate any bikes in the area. -MCSO received report of things stolen from a residence in Irrigon while the owner was gone. A deputy responded and de termined it was a civil issue regarding property. -M CSO deputy made contact with a vehicle in Heppner. -MCSO deputy at tempted contact with a ve hicle, but the subjects were on their boat in Irrigon. -MCSO deputy re ported he was with a vehicle that placards had fallen over in Irrigon. -MCSO received report that lights on the auto side of the rest area on 1-84 in Boardman were not working. The truck side lights were fine. -MCSO received report of a bunch of ju veniles being rowdy and walking around with beer. A second caller advised he had also heard that there was going to be a party at an Irrigon residence. -MCSO cited Ar mando Diaz Perez, 46, for Driving While Suspended, Failure to Carry Proof of Insurance. The vehicle was towed. -Boardman Police Department reported that a BPD officer was flagged down by a subject. -BPD Officer re ported he was on patrol on foot at Sam Boardman Elementary School. -BPD received re port of a subject permitting unlawful operation of a vehicle. The vehicle had a cancelled insurance policy. She was told to come back when she had a licensed driver and a valid insurance policy and then she could have the vehicle released. -BPD received re port from a subject that three males came into the Driftwood RV Park and were walking around the trailers. They left, but came back several more times during the night. The caller said that when he tried to contact them, they would run. He requested extra patrol. -BPD code officer reported he was going to get a kitten that was sick and pretty beat up. -BPD arrested Ju- vencio Agripino Quijas, 50, for Assault IV-Domestic Felony. Bail was $7,500. -Irrig o n Ambu- lance received report from an Irrigon subject that her dad had been sick with a cough and shaky through out the day and requested an ambulance. O cto b er 11: Mor row County Sheriff, Board- man Police Department received report of several cows and possibly a bull in the front yard of a Board- man residence getting ready to go into the road. -MCSO received report from a Heppner sub ject that an unruly tenant threatened him and was trying to call him out for a fight. He reported there was a lot of noise and carrying on at the location when he first made contact around midnight. There was also a large dog in the room, but it was unknown if there were weapons. -MCSO, Irrigon Ambulance received report of an 88-year-old subject found on the floor of an Ir- rigon residence with his left arm underneath him and the imprint of his hand on his stomach and a large amount of blood in his catheter. He had pain in his abdomen and it was unknown how long he had been on the floor. He was transported. -MCSO received report of illegal firewood cutting on the Umatilla Na tional Forest. The subjects had no permit and returned the second day in a red dish colored pickup. The subjects, two males and one female, were blocking the road and reluctant to move. -MCSO received report from a man that he hadn’t spoken to his kids who live in Heppner in three days and he wanted a deputy to make sure they were okay. He said it is in the parenting plan that he call to talk to them and they have to notify each other before they take the kids out of the area and he was concerned. A deputy made contact and advised him that the kids were okay. -MCSO received report of a mixed reed black and white dog by the Lex ington Baptist Church. -MCSO received report from a Heppner man that the neighbor’s dog is out again and he wanted deputy contact. -MCSO received report of a fire south of Wilson Lane in Boardman. It was a controlled bum. -MCSO received report of a white car with four or five males who got out of the car and acted like they were looking for some thing. The caller requested a deputy to patrol the area. -M C S O c ite d Adam Rodriguez Rosales for Failure to Drive Within Lane. -MCSO deputy re ported he was out with a ve hicle at an Irrigon location. The subject had permission to be at the location and had a key to the business. -Boardman Police Department received report of a drive-off from a Board- man station for $24.05 in gas. The driver was last seen traveling west on 1-84 in a new blue Honda. -BPD received re port of kids riding dirt bikes in a field without helmets. -BPD w arned a subject for failure to obey a traffic control device, failure to use signal and riding an electric motorized scooter on a roadway. -BPD received re port of a house broken into while the owner was gone and items missing. -BPD officer re ported that while he was out on another call, he was advised of a criminal tres pass. -Boardman Fire Department received report of black smoke on the south side of the freeway on 1-84 near Boardman. -lone Fire Depart ment received report of black smoke in Irrigon. The caller said someone was out with the fire, but the neighbor was concerned that grass would catch on fire and it would spread to his residence. The fire chief made contact and advised it was a legal bum and that wet weeds were putting off the black smoke. October 13: -MCSO received a call from a male who stated that when he arrived home from the hospital there were four male subjects trying to get into his vehicle and his home. A deputy responded but was unable to locate anyone or any evidence of anyone. BPD assisted. -MCSO received a call stating that a male subject in lone was yelling. cussing, and challenging him to a fight. The caller stated that the subject had a deer rifle but did not point it I
