Wheat Growers League annual i all meeting held Area farmers and guests met last week for the annual Wheat Growers League fall meeting held at the Morrow County fair grounds. It was a full eve ning o f information shared by speakers, Paulette Pyle with Oregonians for Food & Shelter, Raleigh Curtiss with Mid Columbia Grain. She shared what bills were headed off and what bills made it through leg islature and how they will affect the natural resource sector. Attendees were en tertained by Raleigh Cur tiss whose talk was titled “Farming for a Profit”. Jeff Newtson and Tammy Dennee had a lot to share w ith regards to league activity. They asked for input/feedback concerning several issues facing the industry. A smoke manage ment plan was discussed, an issue that the league would like each county to a d dress.
