The Boardman Rural Fire
Protection District is seeking
applications for the following
4 positions.2 Positions Fire­
fighter Mechanic/ Mainte­
nance 2 Positions Firefighter
Training Officer / Instructor
These will be full time posi­
tions with the district work­
ing 40 hrs per week includ­
ing weekends as scheduled.
These are at will positions for
the district reporting to the
Fire Chief.Applications and
job descriptions are available
to all interested in applying.
Applications with resume and
certifications will be accepted
until 5-29-2009 at 5pm.Re­
view of applications will be
conducted by staff indepen­
dent of the district with final
approval from the Fire Chief.
These positions are funded
by the SAFER Firefighters
Grant Program and fall under
the rules of SAFER. It is the
intent of the district to fill the
positions by 7-1-2009.

es for projects and services
which will enhance the
welfare o f Morrow Coun­
ty children and families.
The anticipated allocation
is approximately $70,436.
Projects must address at
least one o f the following
goals: Strong, Nurturing
Families; Healthy, Thriving
Children; Healthy, Thriving
Youth; or Caring Commu­
nities. All proposals must
meet the essential compo­
nents for a Best Practices
program. Accepted propos­
als will be approved for one

A second public meeting
o f the Budget Committee
o f the Town o f Lexington,
Morrow County, State of
Oregon to discuss the bud­
get for the fiscal year July
1st, 2009 to June 30th,
2010 will be held at Lex­
ington Town Hall 150 Main
Street Lexington Oregon.
The meeting will take place
on May 5,2009 at 6:30 PM.
The purpose o f the meeting
is to review the budget, and
to receive comment from
the public on the budget.

tion, at Lexington Town
Hall, 150 W. Main Street,

She reported scratches on
her chest and face. She also
reported that he took o ff
with their three-year-old
son. MCSO arrested Ryan
Curtis Angel, 31, for Ha­
rassment. He was lodged at
Umatilla County Jail with
$3,000 bail.

port o f credit card, Social
Security and checking ac­
count fraud in Heppner.
-MCSO received re­
port o f someone breaking
the bleachers and chiseling
out the tiles at the Irrigon
skate park.

Alvarez, 48, for Violation of
the Speed Limit, 59 mph in
a 35 mph zone.
-BPD received re­
port from a Boardman wom­
an that her son had been call­
ing her and making threats
toward her and her family.
-BPD made contact
with individuals concerning
gang activity in apartments
in Boardman.
-Irrigon Ambulance
received request for an am­
bulance for a 63-year-old
woman who had been sick
for around two months and
could not get into her hus­
band’s car.

Jail with $7,500 bail. Her
vehicle was impounded.
