Bob and Aloha De-
Spain's family came to Hep
pner for a reunion and joined
in the Heppner MS Walk on
Saturday, April 18.
Seventeen of the De-
Spain Team showed up to
walk in support o f Chris,
Bob and Aloha’s son, who
was diagnosed with M ul
tiple Sclerosis 20 years ago.
Aloha shared that the MS
walk is very much like a
family reunion, we are get
ting so many participants
from previous walks. “The
sharing and enthusiasm of
the day gave our fam ily
more of an insight on what
it’s like to have MS. Having
a family member with MS
made it very poignant.”
Bob & Aloha have
served as committee mem
bers since the walks concep
tion. Bob came up with the
idea o f serving a free break
fast and has been heading it
up every year since.
At least 130 walkers
Marriages
helped raise $9,000 with
more donations coming in.
“ Everyone came together
with a common goal, a cure
for MS”, commented Meri-
lee McDowell the Heppner
w alk organizer. As I w atched
all the walkers sign-up I was
filled with so much awe and
gratitude. I know this last
year hasn’t been easy for a
lot o f people so for them to
give so abundantly was very
rewarding.

It almost never pays to

however, make it bright and

The oven and stove should be

Counters should look
