Approximately 80% o f all
omes sold utilize the services
f real estate agencies. O f the
;maining 20%, a significant
ortion are sold by owners
irectly to family members,
o-w orkers, neig h b o rs or
iends. Very few homes are
aid independently by owners
) outside buyers on the open
tarket.
A survey by the National
association of Realtors shows
lat of the sellers that did sell by
temselves. only 15% said they
ould do it alone again. That
leans that 85% would hire an
agency next time.
The major problems cited
by sellers were, “Getting the
right price, attracting buyers,
having enough time to devote
to all aspects o f the sale,
understanding and performing
the paperwork, selling in the
time planned on, and helping the
buyer obtain financing".
Most people realize that a real
estate transfer is a significant
financial transaction and prefer
to handle it the business-like
way, that is, seeking the best
professional re p resen tatio n
possible.
