required by the Child Care
Division for anyone wish
ing to become a Registered
Family Child Care Provider,
and for in d iv id u als that
want to learn more about
O reg o n ’s laws governing
child care. CCD Certifiers
will be on hand to talk about
the rules and regulations and
to explain the on-site Health
and Safety Review process.
Sessions can be set up upon
request. This is a free class.

5 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in

will explore how typical
development can sometimes
lead infants and toddlers to

North East Area Commission
on Transportation to meet
The North East Area
Commission on Transpor
tation (NEACT) will hold
its next meeting on August
7 from 9 a.m. to noon at
the Oregon Department o f
Transportation (ODOT) Re
gion 5 Headquarters, located
at 3012 Island Avenue in La
Grande.
The NEACT, com
p rised o f tra n sp o rta tio n
stakeholders from Morrow,
Umatilla, Union, Wallowa
and Baker counties, and the
Confederated Tribes o f the
U m atilla Indian R eserva
tion, helps identify and pri
oritize transportation-related
projects in the five-county
area. The meeting location
is accessible to persons with
disabilities, per the Ameri
cans with Disabilities Act.
The general public is invited
to attend.
Time has been set
aside for public comments
regarding project propos
als and other transportation

volleyball camp for grades
4-12 on Sunday, M onday
and Tuesday, August 3-5.
This camp will be
given by Pacific University
coach, Lena Chan and Lak-
eridge High School, Wendy

have college and AVP beach
volleyball experience and
look forward to returning to
Heppner to work with local
volleyball players.

nale Concert when all camp
