took second in state this past
weekend. The Mustangs lost
their hid for state champions
by a score of 10-6 to Culver.
The Mustangs ended their
season with an impressive 10-3

High winds cause power outages
throughout Heppner area

According to Columbia Basin Electric Co-op. high winds were the cause o f the
power outages in the Heppner area Sunday evening through Monday morning. Columbia
Basin w as not notified of any significant damages and said that the only the cause they
could cite for the outages was high winds.
Heppner Schools w ere closed for the day on Monday because o f the power be­
ing out.
