OSAA seeks high school sports
officials
The ( )regon Athletic
( Mficials Association and the
Oregon School A ctivities
Association are recruiting
officials for the upcoming
high sch o o l fall sp o rts
seasons. The OAOA has an
immediate need for officials
in football, volleyball and
soccer. OAOA Executive
Director Jack Folliard says
becom ing a high school
official has several benefits,
including “staying involved
in athletics, m aintaining
good physical condition and
earning extra money.”

Sheriff's Office reports han­
dling the following busi­
ness:
Ju n e 23 continued:
MCSO issued a citation to
Tia Johnson, 18, for failing
to wear a seatbelt.
-MCSO issued a ci­
tation to Wendy Lee Hill, 44,
for not having an operating
license.
-MCSO received a
report about an alley behind
Bake’s in Irrigon that had
a fire. It was a controlled
burn.

ing while Suspended.
-MCSO received a
report that advised there
were posters posted at the
damn adv ising it is contami­
nated. MCSO responded
and attempted to find out
what was going on. The
Willow Creek Reservoir is
contaminated with an algae
bloom.
-MCSO was advised
that there was loud music
com ing from a residence
that is an ongoing problem.
-M C SO and BPD
and Boardman FD received
a report that there was a fire
behind the Lutheran Church
in Boardman. BPD respond­
ed and MCSO responded for
traffic control.
-MCSO responded
to a report o f a possible in­
toxicated driv er that was en
route towards Hardman.
-M CSO and BPD
received a report that two
male intoxicated subjects
were outside on Main Street
in B oardm an asking for
money.

port that the reporter’s car

port that several juveniles
spray painted the reporter’s
van.

lance transported an 89-
year-old female who had
shortness of breath.

and BPD received a report
from a subject that her hus­
band’s friend’s spouse was
at th e ir hom e harassin g
her juvenile daughter. The
deputy responded and made
contact with both parties.
-MCSO responded
to a report about a party that
was being loud in Irrigon in
a residence behind the Shell
Station. The reporter thought
that there w ere children
drinking there as well. There
was no underage drinking
and the deputy advised them
to keep it down.
-MCSO issued a ci­
tation to Cecile Marie Wil­
son, 52, for Driving while
suspended and v iolating the
basic rule by going 70 mph
in a 55 mph zone.
-MCSO deputy no­

bass fishing boat that ap­
peared to be drifting. There
was one adult and two ju ­
veniles in the boat. It was
unknown if they were in
distress.

man, 41, for passing in a no
passing zone.
-MCSO issued a ci­
tation to Fred Hagelstein,
78, for violating the basic
rule by going 79 mph in a
55 mph zone.

G lenn, 66, for failing to
wear a seathelt.
-MCSO issued a cita­
tion to Victor Hugo Ramirez
Vega, 26, for failing to wear
a seatbelt and driving while
suspended.
-MCSO received a
report about three subjects
out at a small lake on the
north end o f Tower Road.
The subjects were just fish­
ing.
-MCSO issued a ci­
tation to a male juvenile for
violating the basic rule by
going 90 mph in a 55 mph
zone.

advised that her daughter

mate each have a dog and
they got into a fight. Her
daughter was bitten by her
ro o m m ate’s dog and she
wants it shot. MCSO made
contact with the reporter and
advised her how to handle
the dog.
-MCSO received a
report that the reporter ad­
vised that he was being ha­
rassed by phone by a female.
MCSO responded and the
suspect was advised not to
call again.
-MCSO received a
report that a subject was
tipping the tables over at
the park in Heppner due to
water build up.
-MCSO received a
report about the reporter’s
15-year old sister who was
out o f control. She was as­
saulting others. All subjects
involved were separated and
talked about it when they
were all cooled off.
-M CSO, BPD and
Boardman Ambulance re­
ceived a report that a lady
was walking down the road
crying hysterically and had
bite marks all over her neck.
The marks and crying were
from her boyfriend beating
her up. The deputy went
out at a possible address to
look for the boyfriend. The
boyfriend was still calling
her on the phone.
-BPD received a re­
port from a reporter who
adv ised there was a beeping
sound that is going off. He
thought it might have been a
carbon monoxide alarm go­
ing off. It went off for about
five minutes, but then he did
not hear it anymore.
-BPD issued a cita­
tion to Araceli Dominguez
for failing to use a seatbelt
on a child.
-BPD received a re­
port about a vehicle parked
beside the road. No one was
around. The driver was go­
ing for a walk.
-BPD issued a cita­
tion to George Willard Tip­
pett, 58, for violating the
speed limit by going 39 mph
in a 25 mph zone.
-Boardman Ambu­
lance transported a 57-year
old female, who fell, was
dizzy and could not get up,
to Good Shepherd Hospi­
tal.
-Irrigon Ambulance
assisted a 240year-old male
who had a severe headache.
The subject was currently on
new medication. The subject
was transported to Good
Shepherd Hospital.

report that the reporter threw
a tire. Help was sent and
they were not a hazard to
the roadway.
-MCSO received a
report that a suspicious fe­
male was carrying a back
pack and bag and was head­
ing towards the Shell sta­
tion with no money. MCSO
responded and the female
subject advised she was
passing through.
-MCSO responded
a report about a domestic
argument over a dog. The
parties were separated and
did not get physical.
-MCSO received a
report that the reporter was
trying to call her brother for
four days and could not get
through.
