Roy Proctor Post transplant

tor o f Heppner. After much
preparation, a bone marrow
stem cell transplant was
completed on May 17 at the
Memorial Sloan Kettering
Cancer Center in New' York
City.

Heppner Lions induct officers, honor members

Anemia, a rare genetic dis­
ease. R oy’s mother, Kay
Proctor, is in New York
w ith him. According to Kay,
Roy’s progress is “miracu­
lous” and the whole family
is very grateful for the sup­
port o f the community.

at the home o f Steve and
Molly Rhea. Members
celebrated with a potluck
and barbecued steaks

year which began July l .

special plaque o f rec­
ognition for her work
as president and James
Fichter was honored as
Lion o f the Year by the
club for his involvement
in all activities and club
meetings.
