Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, February 14.2007 Sheriff's Report The Morrow County Sheriffs Office reports han dling the follow mg business: Jan. 18: -MCSO received a report that a vehicle was behind the guardrail off the roadway. -MCSO and BPD received a report of a silver car off in a d itch. T h ere w as one female in the vehicle, but the injuries were unknow n. -MCSO arrested Curtis R. Pullum, 38, for failing to appear for driving while suspended. -MCSO received a report that a female subject lent her vehicle to a known male subject and when asked for the vehicle to be returned he refused. -MCSO received a report that the reporter received a call from a subject who wanted the reporter to repo a vehicle. The re p o rte r wanted to talk to a deputy regarding if that was legal. -MCSO received a report that a large dog jumped over the re p o rte r’s fence and killed the reporter's small dog and bit him while he was trying to protect his dog. -MCSO received a report that a dog was going out in the reporter’s field where there is new calves. -MCSO issued a citation to Nicholas Shawn Bass, 40, for truck speeding, going 65 mph in a 55 mph zone. -MCSO had a sheriff out with a 1988 Mazda vehicle. The sheriff tried to make contact with the owner, for the car will be a hazard when night falls. -MCSO received a report that a m aroon van was ou tsid e her house and blocking her driveway. She needs the van to move so she can plug her diesel in. -MCSO received a report of a dog that had been hit and was bleeding. -MCSO received a report of a large explosion from a reporter who was on her way home by Paterson Ferry Road. -MCSO received a report of a m issin g ju v e n ile in Heppner. -BPD received a report that a male was riding his four- wheeler up and down the street and in and out of other p e o p le ’s property. BPD responded and gave the male a warning. -lrrigon Ambulance received a report that a 36-year-old fem ale thought she had broken her ankle. The female req u ested an am bulance because her husband w as not home and she does not know how to get there. Jan. 19: -MCSO received a report that Brent Chester Paradiso, 35, turned himself in to UCJ for P & P and 12 day Sanction. -MCSO received a report that som eone took bolt cutters to cut off the lock on the reporter’s shop. -MCSO received a report that in lrrigon a fte r the Saturday game against Pilot Rock the re p o rte r’s daughter’s retainers were taken. -MCSO received a report that the reporter’s husband was convicted of a felon for possession of firearm. The re p o rte r req u ested the firearm be released to her. -M C SO arrested Ross Vanetta, 26, for failing to pay fine for failing to perform the duties of a driver. -MCSO received a report that a reporter advised that her pain meds were taken off the counter at her residence and she requested deputy response. MCSO responded and while they were there the reporter’s mother said the pills were at her house and she had brought them to her. -MCSO received a report that a vehicle was parked on the side of the road with no occupants. -MCSO received a report from a reporter who would like extra patrol on Highway 74 for logging trucks that have been driving recklessly, taking the corner extremely fast-almost going over. -BPD issued a citation to Fidel R. T orres, 18, for driving while suspended w ith insurance. -BPD received a report that a three year old child was at the Boardman South Shell Station unattended. -BPD received a report that two Hispanic males were in a dark blue Mazda car when they drove o ff w ithout paying $ 10.(X) worth of fuel. Jan. 20: -MCSO received a report about a broken pipe in McNary. The call was transferred to UCSO. -MCSO received a report that the re p o rte r sold a motorcycle to a subject that lives in lrrigon. The subject had finished m aking the pay m en ts. The re p o rte r wanted to know if they can go and get the motorcycle. The reporter was advised that this was a civil issue. -MCSO received a request from a trooper for a welfare check. The subject hit her head and refused medical. -MCSO received a report about a disabled vehicle on the eastbound ramp. -MCSO received a report that an o ff duty d eputy rep o rted a cow running westbound on Highway 74, just West of the Mill Zone. -MCSO received a report som eone broke the windshield on their pickup with a rock. -MCSO received a report that someone was knocking on the reporter’s window, and then began knocking on the windows all throughout the house. The reporter was home alone. -MCSO received a report that an older w hite jeep Cherokee went off the road at Division/Depot Lane. The vehicle had minor front end damage, undrivable; the 23 year old female driver was not hurt. -MCSO received a report about a suspicious white jeep that has had two different p lates in tw o d ifferen t sightings. -BPD received a report that a dog bit someone. The dog was tra n sp o rte d to the Hermiston Vet Clinic. -BPD received a report that a juvenile male was driving a three-wheeler up and dow n W illow Fork Dr. in Boardman. -BPD received a report that a red th ree-w heeler was stolen out of the back of his pick-up in Boardman. Jan. 21: -MCSO received a import that there were three gun shots heard in lrrigon. The reporter believed it was either from a .22 rifle or a hand gun. -MCSO received a report about illegal dum ping occurring at the assisted living facility in lrrigon. -MCSO received a report that an intruder came on to the reporter's residence and as scared off and then went to the neighbor’s residence. Extra patrol was requested. -MCSO received a report that the reporter had lent her blazer to an ex friend and noticed that the plates had been changed. -MCSO received a dialing error. The su b ject was attempting to call 922 next door to see if they needed groceries. -MCSO received a report about subjects walking about the skate park in lrrigon that was closed. It turned out to be em ployees who were putting tarp up on the new cement. -MCSO received a report that the reporter’s bike was stolen. -MCSO received a report that pipes were frozen in the re p o rte r’s resid en ce in Heppner and there had been no water for a week. -M CSO received a report that a threat was made by the rep o rter's ex that he was going to take her van and trespass on her property. -MCSO assisted BPD with a suicidal subject. -BPD was out with a subject w ho had th re a ten e d a teacher in Boardman. -BPD received a report that subjects were in a lot in Boardman messing around. -BPD received a report that a stop sign was damaged. Public works was notified. -BPD received a report that a subject was threatening to kill himself. He was in the bathroom with a knife. The subject was transported to Columbia River Ranch. Jan. 22: -MCSO received a rep o rt about a fam ily d isturbance occurring in H erm iston. The call was transferred to H erm iston PD. -MCSO received a report that horses w ere out on Columbia Ln near W Second St in lrrigon. -MCSO received a report about a horse out on Washington Ln between W F ourth and W T h ird in lrrigon. -MCSO received a report that a dog was dropped off at the hatchery. There was a request to pick the dog up and take it to Pet Rescue. -MCSO received a report that the reporter received two letters from Polaris regarding a Snowmobile that the re p o rte r’s son had bought from T ri-C ities Supply. The reporter's son lives in Nevada and did not buy a snowmobile from Tri- Cities Supply. -MCSO issued a citation to Mikel David Cribbs, 25, for no operating licenses. The m ale su b ject was also arrested for unlaw ful Possession of Meth. -MCSO arrested Amythest Maki, 28, for failing to pay fine for Theft 111. -MCSO received a report that Kacy C h ild e rs, 24, turned himself in to begin a 90 day sentence. -MCSO received a report that there was a large piece of hay in the middle of the Hwy 730 near Fifteenth Rd by lrrigon. -MCSO received a report that the dog that attacked the reporter’s dog is loose again. -MCSO received a report that a car was all over the road. -MCSO received a report that an Xbox was missing from the re p o rte r’s residence. -MCSO received a report that one dog was corralled in a yard, and the other dog, a pit bull took off. -MCSO received a report that a deputy was out with a juvenile who had a gun. The gun was a BB gun and the deputy advised the juvenile not to shoot the gun inside city limits. -MCSO received a report that a teenage girl was afraid to go home at Heppner. She stayed hom e sick today, called the school, the mother is upset, and she was fighting with the mother. -MCSO received a report that a trespasser was on the reporter’s property. -MCSO received a report that a suspicious vehicle was parked behind BAKES in lrrigon. -B PD receiv ed a rep o rt about a fight that had occurred at Riverside High School. The problem was resolved by the school. -BPD issued a citation to Robin Lee G raff, 43, for going 35 mph in a 20 mph school zone. -BPD received a report that the reporter’s mom kicked him out of the car and the reporter's friend gave him a ride to the friend’s residence. -B oardm an A m bulance assisted a 78 year old female who advised she was feeling stran g e and dizzy. The subject was transported to Good Shepherd Hospital. -B oardm an A m bulance assisted a female who got kicked in the leg by a cow. -lrrigon Ambulance assisted a female who had fallen and hurt her leg.
