SIX - Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, July 26,2006 Sheriff's Report The Morrow County Sheriff's Office reports han dling the following business: continued from pane 2 Controlled Substance II. Smith was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. MCSO received a report of a vehicle accident on Big Suttercreek Road. MCSO received a report from a caller in lone of two pistols stolen from his home; he had been on vacation. MCSO, Boardman PD received a report from a caller in Boardman that the caller's girlfriend was hitting him and bit his hand. Boardman PD officer arrested Dean Laroy Staten, 40, for Assault IV-Domestic Misdemeanor, Menacing, Harassment and Strangulation. He was released on his own recognizance with conditions. MCSO deputy cited Laurie Gaye Brown, 52, for Violation of the Basic Rule, 77 mph in a 55 mph zone. MCSO received a report from a caller in lone that a male subject was racing up and down a road. A deputy checked the area and was unable to locate the vehicle. MCSO received a relayed report from a caller in Hermiston that a female subject used another female subject's credit card on QVC. The Hermiston PD advised that since it occurred in Morrow County, it is a Morrow County case. The call was handled by the Hermiston PD; it was determined there was no crime committed. MCSO received a request for a welfare check from a caller in Irrigon. The caller wanted a check on her children; they live with her ex-husband. The caller talked to them about three weeks ago; one of the children told her that she didn't want to talk to her and to not call back. It was determined the juveniles were fine and a deputy would advised the caller. MCSO received a report from Cedar Rapid PD that a subject in Heppner advised of a domestic disturbance occurring in her residence. Both parties are still on the scene. It was determined to be a verbal dispute only. MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that her husband is refusing to leave the residenee. There were three juveniles at the residence. Oregon State Police assisted MCSO. It was determined to be a verbal dispute only. MCSO deputy advised he was out with a large group of juveniles; MCSO was assisting the Oregon State Police in contacting the juveniles regarding a stolen vehicle that OSP had earlier today. MCSO received a report of a dispute at a residence in Heppner. It was determined to be a verbal dispute only. MCSO received a report from a caller in Boardman that a vehicle drove past her and there was a popping sound like a small caliber gun. The vehicle was later located. MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that two pickups drove fast away down a road and there is a house with its door open and lights on but no one was home. The house may have been burgled. MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that a vehicle came down a street at a high rate of speed. Boardman PD officer cited Javier Ramos Delgado, 27, for Driving while License Suspended Violation. Boardman PD received a report from a caller in Boardman of a 5- wheel trailer that has been abandoned. Boardman PD received a walk-in report of a door kicked in at an apartment. Boardman PD received a report from a caller in Boardman of a disoriented subject who walked in “kind of confused.” Boardman PD officer cited Della Sue Renaud, 52, for Driving while License Suspended Violation. Boardman FD advised they were at the school and accidentally set off the general fire alarm. All was okay. B o a r d m a n ambulance received a request from the Boardman PD to respond to a female subject in Boardman who was alert but feeling dizzy and faint. The patient was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston. Lexington FD advised they were starting a controlled burn at a location in Lexington. MCSO received a report from a caller in Lexington of an illegally parked car at Lexington City Hall. MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon of a subject riding a motorcycle without a helmet. MCSO received a report of an unknown medical problem in Heppner; a female subject in a wheelchair was unresponsive. MCSO, Boardman PD, Boardman ambulance received a report from a caller in Boardman of a two year old male “turning purple.” The caller advised the child fell over from a standing position, like a faint, and hit his head on the wall. The child has a history of seizures. MCSO received a report from a caller in Boardman that she saw two men get into her vehicle, take her purse and walk away. Boardman PD officer arrested Douglas Duane Jones, II, 28, for Unauthorized Entry of a Motor Vehicle and Theft I, and arrested Michael Anthony Mullikin, 22, for Unauthorized Entry of a Motor Vehicle and Theft I. Both subjects were lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. MCSO deputy advised he was out with a farm vehicle that is possibly broken dow n and it blocking the roadway along Bombing Range Road. The driver returned with some fuel. MCSO received a report from Oregon State Police that an OSP unit was attempting to overtake a vehicle on 1-84 eastbound, going 85+ mph. OSP stopped the vehicle at the south Shell station in Boardman; MCSO assisted with the stop. MCSO deputy cited Jonathan Brady Dickhaus, 32, for Violation of the Basic Rule, 72 mph in a 55 mph zone. MCSO received a report from a caller in Heppner of two geldings in her field; the caller didn’t know who the owner is. MCSO, Boardman FD received a report from a caller on 1-84 near Boardman that a Qwest van was on fire. A second caller reported the driver was out of the vehicle. MCSO received a relayed report of a 911 call reporting a disturbance across the highway from A.C. Houghton Elementary School in Irrigon. It was determined to be two male subjects. MCSO received a business line call from a residence in Irrigon; there was no one on the line but it sounded like a possible domestic disturbance in the background between two subjects. On a callback, a male subject reported a damaged vehicle is being moved; another vehicle at the scene has two flat tires and he is not sure if the people towing the vehicle are the owners. MCSO received a report from a caller in Heppner that two juveniles just broke into a business. They were last seen running around the Main St. Park. Each juvenile was cited for MIP-Alcohol. Boardman PD received a report from a caller in Boardman that a person from Hermiston area came into the business and wrote a check.
