He was sen ten ced to 30 suspended days in jail, one year bench probation. 10 hours o f com m unity and payment of $ 4 18 in fines and fees. Jackie K. R oberts ad m itted to v io latio n of probation allegations for Possession of a Controlled S u b stan ce. R o b erts was sentenced to 10 days in jail. 90 days in the work release center and a continuation of probation. Seth Lee O sgood w as c o n v ic te d for P o ssessio n of Methamphetamine, a Class C felo n y , and Felon in Possession of a Fire Arm, a John Marick, owner of Willow Creek Car Wash, demonstrates the water pressure available. John and Kathy Marick, owners of Willow Creek Diner and Bakery, have opened Willow Creek Car Wash. The car wash is located behind the diner on Center Street. The coin-operated, self-serve car wash will be open 24 hours a day and offers soap with a brush, tire cleaner with brush and rinse and wax. There is also a coin-operated vacuum cleaner that according to Kathy Marick, “has great suction.” They have towels on order, but suggest you bring your own to help reduce any possible spotting. To get your washing started it takes eight quarters and you can add up to $5 at one time to keep it going. The Maricks said that they may possibly open the second bay, but wanted to get the one started to serve the community. Anyone needing assistance at the car wash should check at the diner. Joel E rn esto R odriguez was found in v io la tio n o f p ro b a tio n allegations for Burglary in the F irst D egree and D elivery o f a C ontrolled Substance within 1 (M)() feet o f a school. R odriguez's probation was revoked and he was sen te n c ed to 22 months in jail and 36 months probation. Ricky Bee Roberts was convicted o f Driving U nder the In flu en c e o f In to x ica n ts, a C lass A m isd em ean o r. R o b e rts ’ d r iv e r ’s licen se was suspended for one year and he was sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 150 days suspended, two years bench p ro b a tio n , 80 hours o f co m m u n ity serv ice and payment of $1793 in fines and fees. M artin D am ien Enright was convicted of F ailu re to R eg ister as a Felony Sex Offender, a Class C felony. He is required to register as a sex offender and was sentenced to two years supervised probation, 60 days in ja il, 80 hours com m unity serv ice and payment of $1778 in fines and fees. Jason Lee A itken was convicted of Assault of a Public Safety Officer, a C lass C felony. He was sentenced to 15 months in ja il and th ree years p ro b atio n . On S aturday afternoon, July 8, the court w ent to the C aled o n ia n Days, w here they took home a second place ribbon for riding royalty. Q ueen H eath er Yocom was then able to do the ru n -in at the E lgin Stampede on Saturday night and both she and Princess Jo sie did the ru n -in on Sunday. Before the run-in, the court rode in the Elgin Stampede parade. On Wednesday, July 12, they attended the Irrigon Chamber to discuss the Fair and O TPR com ing in August. Their next parade appearance will be the Fort Dalles Days Parade in The Dalles. Junior golf lessons to be held W illow C reek golf lessons July 17 -2 1. The 2nd annual Stick Horse Round-Up entries will be taken at 5 p.m., with the round-up starting at 6 p.m. The entry fee is $5 for the whole round up. Also that evening, there will be a free barbeque dinner at 5 p.m. and the Kick-Off Dance at 8 p.m. This year's band is “Much More C ountry,” billed as Portland's Hottest Country B and. W ith a b len d o f traditional country music and c h a rt-to p p in g h its, “Much More Country" gives the audience what they want to hear, their favorite music wrapped in an exciting show.
