Heppner Junior High
tracks’ eighth grade girls and
boys leave their marks on the
junior high record board that
will be still standing for years
to come. Waiting for a new
rubberized track has been
hard, with the quality o f
athletes in the eighth grade
here at Heppner.
For the past three
seasons, it’s been dirt, grass
and paved asphalt, awaiting
the arrival of our new track
surface. The new track is
now finished. But our season
is over. The great thing is
that we have the track just
in time, for a hard working
group to condition for next
year and m any years to
come.
The following girls
and boys have set some
outstanding records of times
and distances to challenge
those athletes coming out in
future years.
