Urbach. Shelby Coy earned
first in the oxy-acetylene
welding competition. Brook
Griffith earned first in the
plumbing area and Shelby
Woody earned second in tool

Rebekah Lodge to hold monthly
card party
The monthly card party in Lexington hosted by
Holly Rebekah Lodge will be this Saturday, May 6. Play
will start at 7 p.m. For only $5, one can have an evening of
fun, food, visiting and some will be lucky enough to win a
prize. This event is open to the public and those that are
seasoned players or just beginners are welcome to come
and play.

international clubs. She is
also active in volleyball,
track and basketball. She
was chosen as a Big Sky
Scholar Athlete in 2004 and

volunteered as a lifeguard.
She’s a member of the lone
Youth Group and has helped
feed the h o m eless in

volunteered to help at the

Auction.
H olland is the
daughter of Dale and Karen
Holland and is a member of
the National Honor Society.
She is active in the Spanish

v ario u s p ublic o ffice s,
drafting and presenting bills
for passage in the Girls State
legislature, participating in
m ock trials and a w ide
variety of workshops, and
hearing presentations by
some of O regon’s highest
elected officials.

Bailey plant a tree near the Morrow County Fairgrounds.
Members of the Heppner Garden Club and Heppner
City Manager Dave DeMayo planted a patriotic tree near
the Morrow County Fairgrounds. The tree was planted
during Arbor Day month and allows the group to continue
the National Garden Club tree program. The state president
will make a donation on behalf of the Heppner Garden
Club to Habitat for Humanity.
