Moneymakers win Trivia Night contest

Twelve teams participated in Mr. Bill’s Traveling Trivia Contest in Heppner on
April 1. This is the second year the trivia contest has come to Heppner. Monies raised
from the contest go to support Heppner Chamber of Commerce marketing.
The winning team was the “Moneymakers” of Bank of Eastern Oregon. They
won “On the Road Trivia” CDs. The second place team was “Short Circuit Court,”
sponsored by Kuhn and Spicer. To help them try to conquer next year, the team won the
encyclopedia on CDs. The last place team. Brains. Brawn and Brilliance, won crying
towels (little towels embroidered with “I lost at the 2006 Trivia Contest.”

compliments previous law
enforcement endorsements
for Elizabeth Ballard from

Police and Morrow County
juvenile director.
Ballard was pleased
to receive the endorsement

Summer camps for blind youth
and adults offered
Last year, people
from all over the U nited
States had the “time of their
life” enjoying a full week of
activities, peer support and
personal growth.
Fees for the entire
week are $350, with some
“Camperships” available to
O regon and W ashington
residents, on a needs and
fund-availability basis.

The O ral Hull
Foundation for the Blind is
holding their 24lh annual
adult and 6,h annual youth
summer camps for blind and
low vision youth and adults.
The camp will be held Aug.
5-12 for adults and Aug. 19-
25 for youth. The foundation
campus is located three miles
north of Sandy. Activities
offered include horseback
rid in g , sw im m ing, hot
tubbing, competitive games,
crafts, entertainment, great
food and fun.

Man found dead on Boardman Sheriff’s Report

dead March 31,2006, when
Boardman PD officer Chad

down and received a report
o f a man slum ped o v er
behind the steering wheel of
a vehicle parked on the
Boardman eastbound on-
ram p o f 1-84. In itial
investigation found no signs
of foul play.
