for the club to sell. Members
agreed to order red and
black bands w ith “ lone
C ard in als” inscribed on
them. Ramos will check to
see if youth sizes are
available.
Dean Robinson and
Del LaRue reported on the
Athletic Hall o f Fame. The
c rite ria they set up for
selection is the ability to
excel in at least two sports,
maintaining good grades and
having a positive attitude

honored will be from 1909-
1960.

Fourth of July poster contest
announced
Artists o f all ages are
encouraged to pick up their
crayons, paints, colored
pencils, m arkers, glitter,
stickers, pencils and pens to
enter the annual lone 4th of
July Poster Contest. “This
popular contest drew dozens
o f entrants last year, with
w onderful w orks o f art
p o rtray in g the spirit o f
Independence Day,” said a
spokesperson The contest is
fUnded through the lone TV
Shoot, which is held each
spring.
Paper for the works
o f art may be picked up at
the Bank o f Eastern Oregon
in lone or Heppner and at
C ollier’s M arket in lone
Paper must be white 12x18,
but aside from th at, the
artist’s imagination may go

held at the clubhouse
following play on Saturday.

tournament is to raise funds
for a variety o f Heppner
youth activities and have
