Rent increase will force move To the Editor: My name is Mabel Heath and I am 83 years old I am currently living at the St Patrick’s Senor Center A fter living in Hermiston for many years, I moved back here to be near my fam ily The senior apartments were the ideal place for me to live because o f the proxim ity to the downtown area If the H ousing Authority Board goes ahead with the proposed rent increase o f $60 to $80 over the next 18 months, then I will be forced to leave my home o f the last five years and find a more affordable place to live I live on a fixed income and do not have the resources available to me to be able to afford this type of increase The first increase of $20 in June will be hard enough on me as it is. If I am forced to give up my hobbies and having my hair done each week, I will just sit and do nothing, (s) Mabel C.
