Irrigon ambulance crew delivers

To the Editor:
Thursday, March 10,
was like most any day in
Irrigon People had gone to
their respective jobs and
w ere ab o u t th e ir daily
business At 10:40 a m., the
Irrig o n am bulance was
called o u t to a p riv ate
residence, “woman in labor.”
At 10:47 a m., they arrived
on the scene fully expecting
to have the birth process

and
th e ir
responsibility would be to
check mom and babe, assure
all was well and transport to
G ood Shepherd
T his,
however, was not the case
The baby’s head had entered
the world but her shoulders
were less than cooperative
With amazing effort on the
part o f the mom and the
ambulance crew the baby
was eventually born All
w ere not yet out o f the
w oods. T h ere w ere no
spontaneous respirations and
the baby’s color was bad
The ambulance crew worked
diligently as a team and after
several very tension filled
m om ents,
re sp ira tio n
com m enced
and that
beautiful lusty cry was heard
The
