Addie, to attend business
school. While in Portland,
she met and later married

St. Louis, MO, Minneapolis,

near Santa Rosa.

the Hermiston Cemetery.
Edwards was born
Oct 23, 1946, at Salem to
Joel Raymond and Ethel
W alter Edwards. He was
raised and attended schools
at Walla Walla.
He joined the Marine
Corps, serving seven years
as an Egress and Ejection
systems specialist during the
Vietnam War, then joined the
Navy where he spent two
years in the same capacity
until his honorable discharge.
He earned a double
bachelor o f arts degree in
Law E n fo rcem en t and
Criminal Justice from the
University o f Texas.
On Nov. 5, 1966 he
married Carole A. Mace at
Walla Walla.
He worked as a law
e n fo rcem en t o ffice r in
H arlin g en , TX, before
returning to W alla Walla
w here he w orked at the
p en iten tiary . He later
worked as a police officer at
West Richland, WA before
going to work for Boeing
He served w ith B oeing
Security before retiring in
2004. E d w ard s w as an
independent business owner

Business Group, LLC.
He
enjoyed
a u to m o b ile m echanics,
motorcycles, spending time
w ith his ch ild ren and
grandchildren and loved
helping others.
He was a member of
the Baha’i Faith.
