to participate in fundraisers
benefiting the victims of that

students, teachers, coaches,
aides and even their families

concession stand at Friday

school carnival on Thursday,
Feb 3 from 6-7 30 p m , in
the HES gym

keep the gross profits made
during that night Students
and staff worked furiously at
times and by the end o f the
evening had made $1007.30
This, com bined

brought the total to
$1087 80 to be sent to
UNICEF
ASB

Shanna Rietmann, who was
in charge o f the fundraising
commented, “1 feel bad for
those people and I wanted
students to be able to help
them We have it pretty easy
here compared to what the
people in Southeast Asia are
going through ” The desire
to help others in need was
evident at HHS as both
students and staff responded

overw helm ing
enthusiasm It reinforced the
s c h o o l’s p h ilo so p h y o f
“w orking to g e th e r to
achieve more ” As principal
Wade Smith said, “I think it’s
wonderful how the staff and
students came together for
such a great cause.”
