SIX - Heppnet Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, September 29, 2004 Sheriff's Report The Morrow County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) re ports handling the following business: J u n e 5: M CSO, Irrigon ambulance received a report from a caller in Irrigon o f a female subject involved in an ATV accident in Irrigon. She had a head injury. CPR was in progress. The p atien t started breathing. The patient was tra n sp o rte d to G ood Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston. -MCSO received a report o f a burglary alarm at A.C. Houghton Elementary School in Irrigon. Deputies w ere unable to locate anyone. -MCSO received a report o f a probable theft o f anhydrous ammonia from a truck at MCGG in lone. -MCSO received a report from a c aller in H eppner that a fem ale su b ject was o ff her m edication and took his vehicle without permission. Contact was made with the caller; he didn’t want the vehicle signed stolen and the female subject had been driving with permission for a few months. Behavioral Health was contacted. -MCSO, Boardman Police D ept, receiv ed a request for an officer contact from a c aller at the Boardman 76 station for an irate father with a child locked in the bathroom. -MCSO received a request for assistance from Oregon State Police tor a w rong-w ay d riv er w estbound in the 1-84 eastb o u n d lane from milepost 179. Units were unable to locate the vehicle. -MCSO received a report from a c aller at Irrigon Family Foods o f an intoxicated male subject attem pting to buy m ore alcohol. The subject had a cut on the back o f his head; he said he fell. He left in a white pickup. -Boardm an Police Dept, officer cited Romelia Mong-Garcia, 50, for Failure to O bey Traffic C ontrol Device. -MCSO received a request from a caller in lone for an extra patrol for vehicles driving around lone and vehicles at the lone M arket with W ashington plates he wants registered in Oregon with INS. -MCSO received a report from a c aller in Lexington that her husband lost his ATM card in Hermiston. The Hermiston Police Dept, was notified. -MCSO deputy cited a male juvenile for Violation of the Speed Limit, 85 mph in a 55 mph zone. -MCSO, Boardman Police D ept, receiv ed a report of several juveniles in the rear o f the elementary school. An o ffice r w as unable to locate the juveniles. -MCSO received a report from a c a lle r in B oardm an that a w hite pickup drove through a closed area. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, receiv ed a report of an audible alarm at the Boardman Health Clinic. The building was secure. -M C SO d eputy arrested Juan Jose Garcia Gomez, 24. on a Morrow C ounty C ircu it C ourt w arrant for C rim inal P ossession o f a Forged Instrument L and cited for DUII (BAC .15), Driving while License Suspended M isdem eanor and No Insurance. He was lodged at \ the Umatilla County Jail. The vehicle was towed. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that her dog scared away two males from her property. They left in a white pickup. A deputy was unable to locate the subjects. J u n e 6: M CSO received a report from a c a lle r in Irrigon o f a suspicious vehicle outside her resid en ce. It was unoccupied. -MCSO deputy cited Ambrosio Martinez-Araiza, 26, for No O p e ra to r’s License and No Insurance. The vehicle was impounded. -MCSO deputy cited Russell Laurice Coombs, 40, for Driving while License Suspended Infraction. The vehicle was impounded. -MCSO received a report of an audible burglar alarm at the Nom ad Restaurant in Boardman. It was determined all was okay and the owner was on the scene. -MCSO deputy cited Don Leon Duncan, 57, for Disobeying Traffic Control Device. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that the neighbor’s pit bull keeps coming through the fence into his yard. The neighbors were not at home. While on the line, the dog went back. The caller would call back if needed. -MCSO, Boardman P olice D ept, receiv ed a request for officer assistance from the National Guard for an AWOL su b ject in Boardman. -MCSO received a report of a residential burglar alarm at a location in Irrigon. -MCSO, Boardman Fire Dept, received a report o f a commercial general fire alarm at Logan International in Boardman. It was a false alarm. -MCSO received a report o f suspicious activity and heavy traffic next door to the caller. -MCSO. Boardman Police D ept, receiv ed a request for an officer from a caller in Boardman for a m ale su b ject cau sin g a problem for his daughter. T here w as a language barrier. The male subject was asked to leave. -MCSO, Boardman Police D ept, receiv ed a report of a vehicle swerving over the fog line and driving in the emergency parking area on 1-84 westbound. The vehicle took the Boardman exit. -MCSO received a 911 call with a verbal dispute heard in Spanish. There was no response to contact attem p t and the line d isco n n ected . It was possibly a continuation from an earlier dispute. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c aller in Boardman that a love seat sectional was taken from a trailer in Irrigon. -MCSO deputy cited Michelle Marie Johnson, 19, for Failure to Obey Traffic C o n tro l D evice and No Insurance. The vehicle was impounded. -MCSO deputy cited Alfredo Solis Gonzales, 23, for Driving while License S uspended and No Insurance. The vehicle was impounded. -MCSO received a re p o rt from In terT rib al Police that Paul William Snow, 40, was arrested on a M orrow C ounty C ircu it Court warrant for Failure to A p p ear/P o ssessio n o f a Controlled Substance II. He was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. -M C SO , Irrigon am b u lan ce re c eiv e d a request for an ambulance from a caller in Irrigon for a 45-year-old female having a possible heart attack. The patient was transported to Good Shepherd M edical Center in Hermiston. -MCSO received a request for an officer to go to a business in Boardman for a p o ssib le broken window. An officer did not locate the broken window. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact from a c aller in Irrigon regarding monies he had paid already on a vehicle he was buying. -MCSO, Boardman Police D ept, receiv ed a rep o rt from a c a lle r in Boardman o f a female lying on the freeway overpass in B oardm an. It was determined all was okay. -MCSO deputy cited Petr Petrovich Kolomiyets, 33, for Violation o f the Basic Rule, 85 mph in a 65 mph zone and D riving w hile L icense S uspended Violation. June 7: MCSO cited Jose P. A lvarado, 27, for Driving while Suspended- Violation. The vehicle was impounded. -M C SO , H eppner ambulance received a report from a caller in lone that her 4 1 -y ear-o ld husband is experiencing chest pains and a rapid h eartb eat. The subject was transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Heppner. -M C SO cited Salome Pelayo Camrillo, 37, for D isobeying a Traffic Control Device. -M C SO cited Higinio Raygoza Palos, 26, for D isobeying a Traffic Control Device. -MCSO received a repopl from a caLLpr in Heppner that'a stray dog had been hanging around the caller's residence for the past week. -MCSO, lone EMT received a report from lone City Hall that a subject was sleeping in the lone City Park. It was determined that everything was okay and it was a community service worker taking a nap. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in Washington that he lost his cell phone at the Boardman Westbound Rest Area the day before. The service had been cancelled, but the caller needed a case number to replace the service. -MCSO received a relayed request for deputy contact from a caller in Heppner regarding a subject not going through the proper eviction process. The caller believed the subject was taking a truckload o f the tenant’s belongings to the dump. -MCSO received a report from a c aller in Heppner that a dog keeps entering her yard and scaring her children. She requested deputy contact. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in H eppner that a dog was missing. -MCSO cited Tonya Kay Reams, 31, for Driving while Suspended-violation. The vehicle was impounded. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that he left his cell phone at a resid en ce d u ring an am bulance run. He confirmed by ring that the phone w as inside the residence, but the residents refused to return it. -MCSO received a request for deputy contact reg ard in g an o n -g o in g problem with the theft o f a pistol. -M C SO , H eppner FD received a report from a caller in Heppner that two to three acres o f their grass was on fire and it was headed east over to the Willow Creek side. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in Heppner that boxes o f china and other m iscellaneous belongs taken from her shed during an unknown period of time. -MCSO, Boardman PD received a report from a caller in Arlington that her cell phone was stolen in the B oardm an area. The information was relayed to Boardman PD. -MCSO, Boardman PD received a report o f a panic alarm from a wireless remote in Boardman. The alarm had been trip p ed twice. Dispatch talked to the owner who advised it was an accident as he had been sitting on his keys. -B oardm an PD receiv ed a rep o rt o f v an d alism on the back b u ild in g o f S an d p ip er Apartments. -MCSO received a rep o rt that a “ S W IF T ” tractor and trailer passed the caller on 1-84 and the caller had been going 70 mph. -MCSO received a request for an ambulance for a 28-year-old female who fell down the stairs and had a possible broken ankle. The subject was transported to G ood Shepherd M edical Center in Hermiston. -B oardm an PD received a request that an officer check an address for her d au g h ter th at she rep o rted runaw ay from M cN ary tw o days previously. Officers were u nable to lo cate the daughter. J u n e 9: M CSO, OSP received a report o f a disturbance in Boardman. Miguel Salazar-Barajas, 24, was arrested on charges of Rape I, Kidnapping I and Assault IV Domestic. He w as lodged at U m atilla County Jail on $56,000 bail. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that a bicycle was in the ditch and was partially covered. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon th at three helm ets w ere found on the road. A deputy was unable to locate the helmet. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that his pickup was broken into the previous night while he was at work. The subjects had left “stuff” behind and the caller would like a deputy to check it out. -MCSO, Boardman ambulance received a cell call patched from Benton County Sheriff’s Office in Washington that a subject did a welfare check on his 63-year-old male friend in B oardm an and he was unresponsive, had no pulse and the caller did not know how long he’d been down. -M C SO , H eppner am b u lan ce receiv ed a request for a 37-year-old male outside o f M urray’s D rug Store w ho w as possible having a seizure. The subject was diabetic, but not insulin dependant. The subject was transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital.
