Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, May 26,2004 - SEVEN Sheriff's Report The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) re ports handling the following business: -MCSO received a report from Oregon State Police-Portland that Jeremy W illiam G arcia, 26, was arrested on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Appear/Possession of Less than One Oz. Marijuana. He was lodged by OSP. -MCSO received a report from a caller that he saw a van hit a semi-truck on Highway 730 at 1-84. The van continued eastbound on Highway 730. Oregon State Police was handling the call. -M C SO received two hang-up calls from a pay phone in Boardman. It was d eterm in ed to be kids playing on the phone. -MCSO deputy cited Dayton Matthew Dennison, 22, for Violation of the Basic Rule, 33 mph in a 20 mph zone-school zone. -MCSO received a report from UCSO that Leigh S anders, 46, was arrested on a H eppner Justice Court warrant for Failure to Pay Fine/Failure to Appear. Sanders was cited and released. -MCSO received a report of a residential alarm at a residence in Irrigon. It was determined there was no alarm ; the alarm com pany co n firm ed the cancellation. -MCSO received a request for an ambulance from a caller in Irrigon for a 25-year-old fem ale with chest pains, numbness in her hands and nausea. The patient was transported to G ood Shepherd M edical Center in Hermiston. -MCSO received a req u est for a deputy response from a caller at the Irrigon 76 station for a minor motor vehicle accident in the parking lot. It was a non injury accident. -MCSO received a report from a caller in lone that his son and step-son had not been hom e since yesterday. It was not known where they were. -MCSO deputy cited Reyes Calvillo M endoza, 23, for No O p e ra to r’s License. -M C SO deputy a rre sted W esley A aron Hendren, 26, on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Appear/Driving while License Suspended. He was cited and released to appear. -MCSO, Boardman ambulance received a report from a caller in Boardman of a male subject that had taken an overdose of pain pills. The patient refused transport and was going to m edical a ssistan c e by private vehicle. Main S rw t • Heppner contact from a subject in H eppner reg ard in g a neighbor’s dogs barking. -M C SO , C ity o f Heppner received a report from a caller in Heppner to contact the city crew as the caller had no water. It was determ ined the city crew was working on the water main and would hopefully be com pleted w ithin the hour. -MCSO received a report from a caller who found a propane tank off H ighw ay 74 out o f Lexington. -MCSO received a report from a caller, (calling from a neighbor’s residence) in Irrigon o f a m anager having a confrontation in front of her residence. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact from a caller regarding his 17-year-old son. -M C SO deputy received a report from a su b ject in H eppner that som eone scratch ed tw o large hearts on his pickup. -MCSO, Boardman am bulance receiv ed a request for an ambulance from the Boardman Clinic for a 75-year-old male in cardiac arrest. -MCSO received a re p o rt from a c a lle r in B oardm an o f tw o m ale subjects that stole money from his wallet. The subjects were still on the scene. -MCSO received a report of an audible panic alarm at the 76 station. It was d eterm in ed all was okay; the alarm was accidentally set off. -MCSO deputy cited Ram ona A raiza, 29, was cited for E x ceeding the Maximum Speed Limit, 82 mph in a 65 mph zone. A p ril 3: M CSO receiv ed a import o f an audible alarm a t'a location in Irrigon. The building was determined to be secure; the alarm was unfounded. -B oardm an Police Dept, officer cited a juvenile for E x ceed in g the Maximum Speed Limit, 83 mph in a 65 mph zone. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in Irrigon o f several young juveniles acting suspiciously in the vicinity of a trailer across from Gregg’s Tavern in Irrigon. It was determined to be unfounded. -M C SO , H eppner am bulance receiv ed a request for an ambulance from a caller in Heppner to assist a 91-year-old male su b ject w ho had fallen. A ssistance was received prior to ambulance arrival; the call was cancelled. -B oardm an Police Dept, officer cited Jacob R. Snyder, 21, for D riving while License Suspended Infraction and No Insurance. -MCSO received an abandoned 911 call from a residence in Irrigon. It was d eterm in ed there was a d o m estic d isp u te at the resid en ce. Joel S algado Rangel, 25, was arrested for Harassment/Domestic and lodged at the U m atilla County Jail. -MCSO received a report from a caller in lone o f a black cow in her pasture. It was unknown who the owner is. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r of ten an ts m oving out and leaving property; the caller wanted to know what to do with it. -MCSO, Boardman P o lice D ept, re c eiv e d a rep o rt from a c a lle r in Boardman who was alone with her little sister; a male subject attem pted to gain entry to the residence by the back door and jumped the back fence when she looked out the window. -MCSO, Boardman P o lice D ept, re c eiv e d a report of an audible alarm at a location in B oardm an. U nits sto o d dow n; the p ro p er alarm code was entered. -M C SO , H eppner am b u lan ce re ceiv ed a request for an ambulance from a caller in Heppner for an 81-year-old female with ex trem e back pain. The patient was transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Heppner. -M CSO, lone Fire Dept, received a report from a caller in lone that two 5- year-old boys have been missing for one hour. The caller called back a few minutes later and reported the boys had been found. -MCSO received a re p o rt from T illam o o k C ounty that Rudy Loren Rutherford, 57, was arrested on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Pay Fine/Driving while License Suspended. Rutherford was cited to appear. -M C SO , H eppner am b u lan ce re ceiv ed a request for an ambulance from a caller in Heppner for a 75-year-old male having difficulty breathing and in a lot of pain. The patient was tra n sp o rte d to P io n eer M em orial H o sp ital in Heppner. -MCSO received a relayed report from a subject in Heppner who reported his neighbor’s dog in his yard chewing on his racecar. -M C SO , O regon State P o lice receiv ed a re p o rt from a c a lle r in Irrigon o f seeing a male subject tagging a building on Main Street. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact from a c a lle r in Irrigon regarding seeing someone on his property; the subject might be a male suspect. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact from a c a lle r in Irrigon regarding a pit bull attacking cats. -MCSO received a request from a caller for a welfare check on his family in Irrigon. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in Irrig o n o f seeing five subjects dumping beer in a parking lot. -M C SO , O regon State P o lice, B oardm an P olice D ept, receiv ed a re p o rt from an M CSO deputy o f m ultiple shots fired at Gregg’s Tavern in Irrigon. Three subjects were detained: Roberto Lomas- Hernandez, 20, Norma G. Ayala-Garduno, 19, and a fem ale ju v e n ile . The subjects were arrested for A ttem p ted M urder, R eckless E ndangerm ent, Unlawful Use/Weapon, and Pointing Firearm at Another, and lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. -MCSO deputy cited Luis Alberto Nunez, 18, for Possession of a Controlled Substance-Less than One Oz. Marijuana. -MCSO deputy cited L uis A lb erto Soriano C o rc u era, 23, for O pen Container. -M C SO deputy found a .25 caliber Firearm at a location on Highway 730. -MCSO received a request for an ambulance for a 19-year-old female with co m p lic atio n s from pregnancy. The subject was in p o lice custody.
