SIX - Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, March 17, 2004 Sheriff's Report The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) re ports handling the following business: 7: M CSO received a report of a disable vehicle on Hwy 207. The vehicle was non-blocking and a relative was called to tow the vehicle. -MCSO received a report of a general fire alarm at Windy River Elementary in Boardman. It was determined to be a false alarm. -MCSO received a report of a traffic jam on Main Street in H eppner at the Chevron Station. -MCSO received a request for officer contact from a caller in Boardman regarding vandalism to the c a lle r ’s m ailbox and a continuous problem with the neighbor’s dog. -M C SO , C ity of Heppner received a report from a caller in Heppner that a subject’s pit bull was at large again. -MCSO, Irrigon FD received a report from a caller in Irrigon of a grass tire. There was a language barrier, but it was believed that a controlled burn was possibly out of control. -MCSO received a rep o rt th at Paul R obert Manning, 25, had been lodged at Umatilla County Jail on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Criminal Mischief III. -MCSO received a report of smoke coming from vents of a white metal building at the Port of Morrow. It was determined to be a controlled bum pile between buildings. -M C SO cited Benjamin Barajas, 19, for Possession of a Controlled Substance. -MCSO cited Sara Royer, 25, for Violation of the Basic Rule, 55 mph in a 35 mph zone. -MCSO cited Steven Morley, 33, for Driving while Suspended-violation and No Insurance. The vehicle was impounded. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that several juveniles had been at the caller’s residence and one of them had a knife. -MCSO cited Maria E. Aguiar, 25, for Violation of the Basic Rule, 75 mph in a 55 mph zone. -MCSO cited Jason Romig, 24, for Violation of the Basic Rule, 74 mph in a 55 mph zone. -M C SO , lone FD received a report of a field fire just south of lone. -MCSO received a rep o rt from U CSO that Blanca E. Garcia, 39, was arrested on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to A p p e ar/D riv in g w hile N ov. Suspended. The subject was cited and released. -MCSO received a report of a lost dog. -M C SO cited Michael Bruce Clave, 23, for Driving while Suspended- infraction. -M C SO cited B rittany M aker, 20, for Permitting Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle. -MCSO provided a courtesy ride to a location in Irrigon. -M C SO arrested Rodrigo Rodriguez Pacheco, 26, for D riving w hile Suspended-m isdem eanor, Violation of the Basic Rule, 73 mph in a 55 mph zone and No Insurance. The vehicle was towed. N o v . 8: MCSO cited Juan Manuel Bombela, 34, for Driving while Suspended- violation. -MCSO received a report that a vehicle was traveling eastbound in the westbound lane on 1-84. -MCSO cited Jesus Lopez Hernandez, 30, for Violation of the Basic Rule, 45 mph in a 30 mph zone. -MCSO received a request for contact from a caller in Irrigon regarding possible identity theft. -MCSO, Boardman FD received a report that the caller smelled large amounts of propane on the north side of the city hall in Boardman. -MCSO, Boardman FD received a report of a fire behind a re sid en ce in Boardman. It was determined to be a controlled bum. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that she and her husband are receiving harassing phone calls from a subject in Umatilla. -MCSO received a report of a vehicle off the road two miles outside of lone. -MCSO, Boardman PD received a report that a truck hit the wall at American West Building in Boardman. It was confirmed to be a non injury accident. -MCSO received a request for contact regarding options available as his sister is in an abusive relationship with her boyfriend in Irrigon and he is attempting to help her get out. -M C SO , Irrig o n ambulance received a report that a male subject was at the Umatilla Game Refuge in Irrigon with severe abdominal pain. The su b ject was tra n sp o rte d to G ood Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston. -M C SO , O SP received a report of a drive off from the Boardman Shell Station. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c a lle r in Boardman that there was a dead deer on Bombing Range Rd with its head cut off. The deer had been there almost two weeks and was beheaded after it was dead for a couple days. -M C SO , H eppner ambulance received a request for an ambulance for a 75- year-old male experiencing trouble breathing. The subject was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston. -MCSO received a report that UCSO arrested Leigh Sanders, 45, on a H eppner Ju stic e C ourt warrant for Failure to Pay Fine/Contempt of Court. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that an abandoned vehicle was located on his property. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Hawaii requesting the number for the Union County Sheriff’s Office become the mother became un responsive will see was on the phone with her. The call was transferred to Union County. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that a subject took a vehicle from their residence and drove off. -MCSO received a report of a verbal domestic at the residence across the street. It was no longer in progress, and a young female had left the residence screaming an hour before the call. Nov. 9: Boardman PD received a report that the caller was almost attacked by a dog. -MCSO cited Ronald Carl Ford, 29, for Violation of the Basic Rule, 43 mph in a 25 mph zone. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon th at a su b ject sto le her MagLight flashlight from her vehicle. -MCSO received a request for deputy contact from a c aller im lrrig o n regarding a subject’s Cattle on the caller’s property. The caller informed that it has been an ongoing problem. An hour after the original call the caller called back and said that the cows were out on the road in Irrigon. The owner was unable to be located. -MCSO cited Vicki Renfro Christensen, 46, for No Operator’s License with a motor vehicle accident. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that a vehicle had just hit her mailbox and went through her fence and hit her car. The vehicle is still at the location with no occupants and no one around. The vehicle was impounded. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Heppner that someone had kicked a dent in the side panel of his truck. -MCSO, Boardman PD tried to serve a warrant on a subject in Boardman, but when the arrived at the location the subject escaped through the window and eluded law enforcement on foot. -MCSO, Boardman PD received a report that a male subject is at the caller’s residence speaking with his daughter who is separated from the subject and the caller is concerned it may escalate to a domestic situation. The male and female are both on restraining orders. -MCSO received a report that a “big rig” was all over the 1-84. The call was relayed to OSP. -MCSO received a report that a pick-up was pulling a boat and the boat does not have lights. The call was relayed to OSP. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Heppner that the caller’s ex-husband keeps calling her and harassing her. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Heppner that that c aller’s car was broken into sometime over the weekend and several items were taking. Nov. 10: M CSO received a report from a caller in B oardm an that her b aseb o ard h eater in her bedroom d o e sn ’t have a cover and it comes on by itself. She is afraid that it will start a fire. There is currently no smoke. The caller was advised to call her apartment manager. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that a male subject is late from returning from a camping trip. The subject was supposed to have returned earlier that night. The subject had been last seen in Boardman. An attempt to locate was sent out. -MCSO received a report of a general fire alarm at Windy River Elementary in Boardman. It was determined to be a false alarm. -MCSO received a request for deputy contact regarding questions about his ex-wife entering his residence at will. -MCSO received a request for a records check from the Pendleton Recruiting Station. Information was faxed with originals mailed. -MCSO received a report that the caller saw a subject driving while drinking out of a whiskey bottle. -MCSO received a report from Columbia Middle School that a message was left on the school’s answering machine threatening to bum down the school. -MCSO received a report that a car was stalking the caller. Contact was made and the su b ject took a different route. -MCSO received a re p o rt from a c aller in Boardman that two sheep were shot on his property. -MCSO received a rep o rt from a c aller in Lexington that his girlfriend is throwing things around and threatening to hit him. It was not physical at the time of the call. Dispatch contacted the fem ale and she ad v ised everything was okay and that they were no longer arguing. Deputies advised that no one answ ered the door upon arrival. -MSCO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that h er d a u g h te r’s e x roommate stole her daughter's medication that she had paid for. -MCSO received a rep o rt o f one sheep on Bombing Range Road. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that some white powder came out her cigarettes and she th in k s they have been tampered with.
