win over the visiting Stanfield
Tigers on Friday, Sept. 12 in
their first gam e o f the season.
The Ponies will play at Umatilla
on Friday, Sept. 19, at 3 p.m.
The Ponies took the

run. Eric Skaggs kicked the
extra point to m ake it 19-0.
Palm er intercepted a
pass and the Ponies ran out the
clock taking a 19-0 lead at
halftime.
After the Ponies were
forced to punt on their opening
drive o f the second h a lf they
tackled the Tigers for losses on
th re e s tr a ig h t p la y s a n d
Michael Wellman blocked the
ensuing punt with the Ponies
taking over on the six-yard
line. Palm er ran for five and
Bailey took it in from there for
the touchdown. Skaggs’ kick
w as good to m ake the score
26-0.
