WCCC Memorial Day Tournament results W illo w C re e k C o u n try Club held its annual Memorial Day Tournam ent and Bar-B- Q under sunny skies on M ay 26. Special prizes w ere aw arded to Louis and Betty Carlson, Jim and Cam Wishart and John and Sandy Hanna. The group also had the privilege ofhaving four special guests from Sw eden, Lena H a n n s o n , U lla H a n n s o n , Sigbritt Carlsson and Herbert Hannson. Winners for the event were: low gross o f the field- Bob and Suzanne Jepsen and low net o f the field- Bob Hope and Debbi Darst. Food Handler’s Class to be offered in Heppner A F o o d H a n d le r ’s Class will be offered by Blue Mountain Community College and the O regon State Health Division on Tuesday, June 17 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the H e p p n e r H ig h S c h o o l cafeteria. This is an excellent opportunity to locally obtain or renew a food han d ler’s card, especially if planning to handle food at festivals or fairs this summer. A Food H a n d le r’s card is required by the State o f O regon for all em ployees w ho handle or prepare food in food service facilities in O r e g o n . T h is in c lu d e s dishwasher, waiters, staff and business persons. Additionally, the card is also now required o f all day care workers. The cost o f the class is a $ 10 licensing fee, payable to th e S ta te H e a lth D epartm ent after successful completion o f the written test. R egistration will be done at class.
