He w as lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. -M C S O receiv ed a report that mild vandalism oc curred at R iverview M obile H om e C ourt. N o p roperty dam age occurred. -M C S O receiv ed a request for information from a caller in Irrigon regarding col lecting money owed. -M C S O rec e iv e d a report from a caller in Irrigon that his pickup was stolen last night -M C S O receiv ed a request for information from an insurance agent to see if his client’s stolen vehicle had been recovered in Heppner the pre vious day. He w as lodged at N O R C O R . His vehicle w as impounded. -M C S O receiv ed a report from a caller o f a pos sible fight that w as to occur later today in Boardman. The caller called back and said the situation was resolved. -M C S O receiv ed a report from a caller in Irrigon that she had been assaulted by her boyfriend. -M C S O receiv ed a rep o rt from a c a lle r from Umatilla County Children Ser vices that she received a phone call from a missing juvenile out o f M orrow County. The ju v e nile w as staying at a siste r’s residence in Salem. -M C SO , Irrigon Fire Dept, received a report from a caller in Irrigon o f burning tires in Irrigon. -M C S O , B oardm an Police Dept, received a report o f an audible burglar alarm at M a rc h e lle ’s R estau ran t in Boardman. It was determined all w as okay; the ow ner w as on the scene. -M C SO deputy cited Ephren Espinoza, 29, for N o O p erato r’s License, O perat ing with Non-Standard Equip ment and Failure to Carry Reg istration. (T his occurred on Feb. 21.) Feb. 27: M C S O , O reg o n S ta te P o lic e , B oardm an Police Dept, re ceived a report from a caller in C ulver that her husband called her on the cell phone and said his log truck had rolled over near B oardm an and he w as hurt. It was deter m ined the accident w as near Brightwood. -M C S O , B oardm an Police Dept, received a report from a caller o f a male subject walking on 1-84 eastbound. -B o a rd m a n P o lic e D ept, o ffic e r re p o rte d an abandoned vehicle on 1-84 eastbound. -M C S O , B oardm an Police Dept, received a report from H erm iston Police Dept, o f a hit and run with property d a m a g e th a t o c c u rre d in Umatilla; the suspected vehi cle was from a Boardman ad dress. -M C SO , H erm iston Police Dept, received a report from a caller in Boardm an o f a school bus headed tow ards Umatilla on Highway 730 that was traveling at a high rate o f speed. -M C S O receiv ed a report from a caller at the Irrigon 76 station that a young boy, about 13 years old, had been in the last tw o days and broke a $ 100 bill both days. -M C S O , O reg o n State Police received a report o f a big tire in the road on I- 84 at the H ighw ay 730 ju n c tion that alm ost caused an ac cident. -M C S O receiv ed a report from C orps o f E ngi neers that tw o subjects had started to develop on proper ty in Irrigon and had taken dow n 200 feet o f fence. The caller was concerned the sub jects m ay be encroaching on C orps property. -M C SO , B oardm an A IR LIFE o f O R E G O N A T T H E S P E E D O F L IF E Fire Dept, received a request for a fire dept, contact from a caller in Boardman concerned about a broken fire alarm. -M C SO deputy cited Brian Bell, 33, for C areless Driving. -M C S O rec e iv e d a report from a caller in Heppner o f a stray dog that had been in her front yard on and o ff for the past three days. -M C SO , B oardm an Police Dept, received a report from a caller in Boardman that her wallet was stolen from her locked vehicle w hile she was at work last night. -M C SO deputy cited Dewitt Franklin Carey, 43, for Violation o f the Basic Rule, 73 m ph in a 55 m ph zone. -M C SO deputy cited Mikal William Barnett, 41, for Violation o f the Basic Rule. -M C S O rec e iv e d a report from a caller in Irrigon that a subject was breaking up everything in the house. -M C S O rec e iv e d a r e p o r t fro m a c a ll e r in B oardm an o f subjects w ith flashlights w ere in the yards. Deputies were unable to locate anyone. -M C S O rec e iv e d a r e q u e s t fro m a c a lle r in H eppner for a contact w ith Behavioral Health. -M C S O rec e iv e d a report from a caller in Heppner o f a group o f ju v en iles that possibly had been drinking. -M C S O rec e iv e d a report from a caller in Heppner who was going to make a wel fare check on a subject regard ing a loud noise. -M C S O rec e iv e d a report that David Russell Fos ter, 33, w as a rre ste d on a M orrow C ounty w arrant for F ailure to A p p ear/D riv in g while License Suspended. He w as lodged at the U m atilla County Jail. Feb. 28: M C SO re ceived a report o f a burglar alarm at K egler’s Sentry Mar ket in Irrigon. -M C SO , B oardm an Police Dept, received a report from a caller on 1-84 east- bound o f a vehicle traveling over 100 mph. -B o a rd m a n P o lic e Dept, officer cited a male sub ject for Exceeding the M axi m um Speed Lim it, 100 m ph in a 65 m ph zone. -M C S O rec e iv e d a report from Longview Police Dept, that they recovered a stolen vehicle. -M C S O rec e iv e d a report from a caller from Mor row County Behavioral Health that a fem ale subject ju st left the o ffic e headed tow ards Pendleton. T h e M ustangs ended up 11-1 in the CBC East division and 21 - 4 overall heading into the District Tournament. The Mustangs wasted no time in jum ping out to a big lead against the Vikings in the f ir s t in n in g w h e n C h u y Elguezabal led o ff with a walk and Brad A dam s hit a long home run into the trees in left- centerfield. Then Billy Gates d o u b le d , D o n a ld A d a m s scored him a single, K yler L ovgren w alked, and Josh Gutierrez walked. Three runs s c o r e d w h e n J o d e C o il r e a c h e d o n a n e rr o r , Elguezabal then hit a homerun to right to m ake it 8-0. Gam e One H eppner 631 48-22 By Rick Paulius The H eppner M ustang softball team ended their season on a good note by s w e e p in g th e E c h o / Stanfield Tigers 22-4 and 9-2 on Tuesday, M ay 20 in Echo. The M ustangs ended up with an 8-12 record in the Eastern O re g o n L e a g u e an d 9-16 overall, but won six o f their last eight games. The M ustangs scored six in the first in gam e one on an RBI double by N ikki Sisk and RBI singles by Em ily Bergstrom and Blake Allstott, and three m ore runs cam e in on errors. In the second, Krystal N aim s had an RBI single and two more runs were scored on errors to m ake it 9-3. In the third, Sisk has an RBI single to m ake it 10-4 and they added four m ore in the fourth on a RBI w alk by M arcy M iller, and tw o RBI double by Sisk and an RBI single by Naims. T hey put the gam e aw ay in the fifth on an RBI double by M eghan M cCabe, an RB I single by S tefanie H anson, an RBI single by M iller, a tw o RBI double by Sisk, an RBI single by Naim s and RBI singles by M cC abe and Chelsey Betsinger to make it 21-4. The M ustangs ended the gam e w ith a nice double play on a ground ball hit to M iller at second base, who threw to Sisk, w ho threw to N aim s at first.
