Mustang C team wins two

the year w ith their final hom e
game o f the year on Thursday,
Feb. 6, at 6 p.m ., against G rant
I nion. The M ustangs finish the
season on the road at Riverside
on M onday, Feb. 10 and at
W eston-M cEwen on Thursday,
Feb. 13.
On Tuesday, Jan. 28 the
M ustangs hung on to beat the
\ ¡siting Condon Blue Devils, 40-
37, then outscored the visiting
R iv e rs id e P ira te s 5 4 -3 2 on
Thursday, Jan. 30.
The M ustangs got five
points from Kyle Carlson in the
first quarter as they were tied with
the Blue Dev ils at 8-8 after one
and got five points from Matthew
VanCleave and four from Dan
Basile in the second to take a 22-
15 halftime lead.
The Mustangs increased
their led to 33-20 after three
getting five points, including a 3-
pointer, from Kory Paullus and
then hung on in the fourth as the
Blue Devils cut the lead to three.
Paullus and VanCleave
each scored eight points to lead
the M ustangs with Carlson and
Rory K ilkenny each scoring
seven points.
A gainst the Pirates, the
M ustangs got o ff to a fast start
taking a 19-13 lead after one
getting seven points each from
P au llu s and V anC leave and
increased it to 35-19 at the h alf
getting four points each from
Kilkenny and Robert McElligott
and a 3-pointer from Basile in the
second quarter.

points in the third quarter as the

Mustang JV girls split over weekend

Rock Rockets 35-33 on Friday,
Jan. 31 in Pilot Rock to easily
beat the visiting Culver Bulldogs
41 -18 on Saturday, Feb. 1. The
Mustangs, now 10-6 on the year,
will be at hom e on Friday, Feb.

Saturday, Feb. 8.

M ustangs trailed 6-4 after one
and 15-12 at the half, but got four
points from Tiffany Piper in the
third quarter to take a 24-22 lead
after three. They couldn’t hang
on to the lead though and lost by
two.
Blair Keithley had eight
points, seven rebounds, four
steals and two assists, to lead the
