It was determ ined to be a m inor accident with no injuries. -M C SO , OSP received a report o f two subjects dumping debris from a vehicle along 1-84, and cited Stephanie Pace, 19, for D riving while Suspended, No Insurance, and Failure to Renew. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a report from an Irrigon resident that her lawn m onum ents were missing. -M CSO , OSP received a re p o rt th at su b je c ts w ere shooting from their vehicles. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a r e p o r t o f a d r iv e - o f f in Boardman. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a report that the caller’s vehicle was backing out o f her driveway, vehicle was rescued. -M C S O , lo n e F D , received a report o f a brush fire in Morgan Canyon. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a re q u e s t fo r d e p u ty c o n ta c t regarding a dispute betw een caller and another party. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a report o f juveniles driving on four-wheelers in a lot behind his house in Boardman. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a report o f a found cash register in an empty field in Boardman. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a report o f a $5.29 drive-off from Boardm an Chevron, unable to locate vehicle. -M C S O a r r e s te d E dw ard Z. P allanes, 54, for Assault IV, a felony. He is lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a rep o rt o f possible poachers/ trespassers near Hardman. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a report that a 39-year-old Irrigon m an had been vom iting all day and was incoherent. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a report o f a pick up driving across c a l l e r ’s b a c k y a rd . It w as determined to be a family dispute. -M CSO, OSP relayed a r e p o r t o f a p o s s ib le la rg e cam pfire around Three-M ile Canyon. Fire was unable to be located. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a request for deputy contact. The caller had gone to pick up her grandchildren from her daughter and son-in-law . W hen caller arrived her daughter was crying and wouldn’t say why. -M C S O cited a m ale s u b je c t fo r N o O p e r a to r ’s License. -M C S O c ite d D a rc y A n n e H a s e lb u s c h , 2 8 , fo r Harassment and Interfering with a Police Officer. S ep t 30: M CSO , B oardm an PD c ite d a m ale subject for DUII, vehicle was impounded. -M C SO cited Sergey Tatarinov, 39, for Exceeding the Maximum speed limit, 69 mph in 55 m ph zone. -M CSO, Boardman PD c ite d R o d rig o R o d r ig u e z Pacheco, 25, for DUII Refusal, D riving while Suspended and Driving Uninsured. Vehicle was impounded. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a re q u e s t fo r d e p u ty c o n ta c t regarding a d isturbance that occurred two nights before. -M CSO , OSP received a request for a welfare check on c a lle r ’s 7 6 -y e a r-o ld fa th e r, w hose w allet was found in the woods. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a report that the caller’s tenant had rem oved his pipe fence w hen subject vacated the property. -MCSO receive a report that tenants who had been served an eviction notice were still in their apartment. -M CSO receive a report that the caller had lost his bike carrier w ith a bike som ew here between Bull Prairie and 1-84. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a report from a caller in Heppner that some had been siphoning gas from caller’s vehicles. Oct. 5: M C SO cited Lee Roy Schluneger, 60, for Violation o f the Basic Rule, 59 mph in a 35 mph zone. -M C S O an d Irrig o n Ambulance received a report that a male subject was experiencing rectal bleeding, and had had hemorrhoid patch surgery the day before. Subject was transported to G o o d S h ep h erd M edical Center. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a report that a subject had entered his property through a posted gate w ith a four-w heeler and poached and rem oved a deer. -M C SO cited William Foden, 29, for U nreasonable Sound Amplification. -M CSO, Boardman PD cited Cindy Lou M essersm ith, 42, for M aintaining a Dog as a Public Nuisance. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a report o f an audible burglar alarm motion detector on a garage door at a residence in Irrigon. It was later found to be set o ff by a subject there to feed animals, but who d id n ’t have a code to turn off alarm. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a report that a burglar alarm motion detector was set off in a residence in lone. It was canceled. -MCSO, lone EM T and Heppner Am bulance received a request for an am bulance at her lone residence for her 73-year- o ld h u s b a n d w h o w as unconscious but breathing okay. Subject has history o f congestive heart failure and is a diabetic. W hen the subject saw her he ran off. Officers were unable to locate the suspect. A m ale subject w as on the scene but could not give proper ID. Oct. 9: M CSO received a report o f an approximately 45- year-old fem ale subject w ho is p a s s in g in a n d o u t o f consciousness com plaining o f chest pain, suspected to be a possible heart attack. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a report o f a tree fire in Irrigon. Caller could see flames around a tree. -M C SO cited A lm a D. Perez, 19, for V iolation o f the Basic Rule, 37 m ph in 20 m ph school zone. -M CSO cited a juvenile female subject for N o Operator’s License. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a request for contact regarding a juvenile who was possibly high. A dditionally, a w ork session for the board and budget committee will be held at 7 p.m. the sam e evening. It was a d v is e d th a t s o m e o n e w as bringing a key to the locked gate, and that there was only one room that had an alarm and it contained w eapons. While caller was one phone she advised the vehicle had sto p p ed and picked the garbage up. -M C S O , B o a rd m a n FD, received a relayed report from Hermiston PD o f a vehicle fire, w ith everyone out o f the vehicle, just east o f Boardman on 1-84 eastbound lane. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a report from a caller in lone that the m onth tag is m issing o ff her pickup and she wanted it logged. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a r e p o r t f o r d e p u ty c o n ta c t regarding a dispute that he was having with is girlfriend. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a report from a caller in Boardman that someone drove through his back yard and busted up som e sprinklers. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a report o f a domestic dispute, and th a t th e m a le s u b je c t w a s “ in to x ic a te d a n d th ro w in g things.” -M C S O r e c e iv e d a report o f a 14-year-old male who was unconscious. Deputy contact w as m a d e a n d d e te rm in e d subject w as breathing although unresponsive. The subject was transported to G ood Shepherd Medical Center. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a report from a caller in Irrigon that there was an on-going problem o f loud m usic com ing from her neighbors. The neighbors were advised to turn down the music. Oct. 7: M C SO cited Zoilo Lopez Ram irez, 21, for DUII B AC. 14. -M C S O , Irr ig o n Ambulance received a report that the c a ller’s 72-year-old wife is on the floor and can’t get up. -M C S O , B o a rd m a n Ambulance received a report that the caller’s 63-year-old husband had fallen and may have passed out. The subject is a heart patient and was complaining o f sweating and w eak n ess. H e w as transported to G ood Shepherd Medical Center. -Boardman PD received a request for officer contact regarding juveniles drinking on the premises. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a driving complaint from Heppner High School. -M C S O , Irrig o n Am bulance, received a request for a transport to Good Shepherd Medical Center. -M C SO cited a subject for Failure to Stop fen- School Bus Safety Lights. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a report from a caller in Irrigon that she had received a telephone scam this m orning advising the she had won $ 1.5 million. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a report o f a fight in progress between two male subjects at an a p a rtm e n t c o m p le x in Boardman. Oct. 10: M CSO , OSP received a report o f a possible DUII, vehicle w as w eaving a straddling both lanes. -M C S O , H eppner Ambulance received a request for an ambulance because caller had been sick since the day before. -M C S O , H eppner Ambulance received a request for am bulance response for a 61- 6 2 -y e a r-o ld m ale, w ho h ad emphysema and was on oxygen. Subject had been sick for five days. -M CSO , O SP received a report o f 2x4s in the road. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a report requesting officer contact in Boardm an for a cat that was stuck in a cooler. -M C S O r e c e iv e d a report o f a residential burglar alarm in Irrigon. Contact m ade with mother o f resident, but she didn’t have a code to shut the alarm off. -M C S O c ite d Leodegario S. Leonid meteor shower viewable on Nov. 19 Stargazers in the western Americans will have a chance to w itn e s s th e L eo n id m e te o r s h o w e r on e a rly T u e s d a y morning, Nov. 19. The show er will send thousands o f meteors hurtling into E arth’s atm osphere. “ Like last year, view ers in the west are going to see a fantastic show, with lots o f m eteors zipping through th e s k y ,” s a id Jim T o d d , M urdock Planetarium manager at th e O re g o n M u seu m o f Science and Industry. T h e L e o n id m e te o r shower occurs every year in mid- N ovem ber and is com posed o f debris from periodic C om et Tem ple-T uttle, w hich com es closest to the earth's orbit about every 33.18 years. T his year. Earth will collide with two such clouds on Nov. 18 and Nov. 19. The first cloud will occur on M onday, Nov. 18 at around 8:30 p.m. There will be 500-700 m eteors per hour. But on Nov. 19 at around 2:30 a.m., up to 2,000 meteors will be seen.
