defeated Arlington, 56-42, on
Tuesday, January 29.
lone had a 10-15 deficit
at the end of the first quarter,
dumped in 15 points and held the
Honkers to seven points to take a
25-22 lead at the half.
Brad Burright was the
main point producer for the
Cardinals with 27 points. Burright
also contributed 10 rebounds,
three assists, and four steals and
blocked three Arlington shot
attempts. Andrew Rietmann
added 11 points, nine rebounds,
three assists, and two steals to the
team's effort. Ashley Roberts
scored six points, grabbed two
rebounds, two steals and handed
off five assists. Nick Christman
added five points and two
rebounds. Adam Neiffer scored
four points, captured four
rebounds, and delivered two
assists. Karl Morgan added two
points in the fourth quarter and
apprehended four rebounds. Billy
Gates scored one of two attempts
at the foul line in the third quarter,
captured one rebound, and
delivered two assists.
The Cardinals shot 50
percent from the line.

lone easily defeated
Helix on Saturday. The Lady
Cardinals secured their win by
outscoring the Grizzlies, 60-25.
Natalie McEUigott was
the leading point manufacturer
with 17 points. McEUigott also
contributed two rebounds, blocked
two shots, led the team with 8
steals and passed out six assists.
Diana McEUigott added 12 points,
three rebounds, and three steals
and delivered two assists. Salli
McEUigott scored nine points,
captured three rebounds, three
steals and delivered two assists.
Kristina Powell scored seven
points, apprehended five
rebounds, three steals and swiped
three G rizzly possessions.
Barbara Holland contributed
three points, captured five
rebounds and blocked one shot
attempt. Caitlin Orem added
three points and seized one Helix
possession. Sara Peck scored
three points, grabbed five
rebounds, and one steal. Tracy
G riffith scored two points,
grabbed five rebounds, and one
steal. Eva Chitty donated two
points, and one steal to the team’s
credit. Cyndi Heagy scored two
points, captured four rebounds,
two steals and delivered two
assists.

lone varsity men stunned Condon on Friday, February 1, by
handing the Blue Devils a 67-53 loss. The Cardinals took an early
lead and every time the Blue Devils were about to overtake the
Cardinals, Billy Gates would hit another three-point shot to widen the
gap. Gates couldn’t miss, hitting six of seven attempts from the three-
point region. Needless to say, Billy Gates had the game high of 22
points, while delivering one assist, grabbing one rebound and capturing
two steals.
Brad Burright continued to score in the double digits with 18
points. Burright also contributed three assists, led the team with 14
rebounds, four blocked shots and two steals. Ashley Roberts scored
14 points, handed off one assist and seized four rebounds. Adam
Neiffer played aggressively, scoring 11 points, handing out four assists,
grabbing three rebounds and capturing three Devil possessions. Nick
Christman scored two points, delivered two assists and brought down
four assists. The Cardinals shot 73 percent from the line and 56 percent
from the field.

men lost to Condon on Friday,
February 1. lone trailed by two
points, 8-10, at the end of the first
quarter. Condon added another
15 points to their score to lead by
10, 25-15, at the half. lone had a
nearly scoreless quarter with
Mike Radie hitting one basket
from the three-point region and
making one of two attempts from
the foul line for a total o f four
points for the entire quarter.
Condon added 18 points
in the third quarter to lead 43-19
at the end of the quarter. lone
stepped up their level of play in
the fourth quarter to add 10 points,
but were unable to recoup their
losses of the third quarter and lost,
29-58.
M ike Radie led the
Cardinals on the scoreboard with
12 points. Radie also contributed

lone claimed another victory on Saturday, Feb. 2, against Helix.
The Cardinals outscored the Grizzlies, 71-55.
Brad Burright led his team with 34 points, and 11 rebounds.
Burright also led the team thievery with six steals. Ashley Roberts
canned 19 points, hitting one of three attempts from the three-point
territory. Roberts delivered three assists and captured four rebounds.
Adam Neiffer scored six points, delivered two assists, and apprehended
five rebounds and one steal. Billy Gates scored four points, led the
team with five assists, and seized three rebounds and three steals.
Karl Morgan added four points to the scoreboard. Adam McCabe
scored four points, delivered one assist, captured four rebounds and
swiped one Grizzly possession. Andrew Rietmann added two points,
one assist, four rebounds and two steals to the Cardinal effort.

JV women handily defeat Helix
The lone junior varsity women had no difficulty defeating Helix
on Saturday, Feb. 2. The Cardinals defeated the Grizzlies, 39-22, in
two quarters.
Sara Peck led the team with 10 points, three steals and five
rebounds. Tracy Griffith added nine points to the board and
apprehended four rebounds. Emily Key scored six points, grabbed
three rebounds, delivered two assists and led the team with four steals.
Caitlin Orem contributed five points. Meghan M. McCabe scored
five points and delivered two assists. Megan E. McCabe and Eva
Chitty added two points each to the team score.

lone lost a close game to Condon on Friday, February 1. The
Cardinals trailed by three, 7-10, at the end of the first quarter. The
lead widened to seven by the half, but the Cardinals came out early in
the third quarter to take the lead. The Devils came back to lead the
Cardinals 39-31 at the end of the third quarter. The Cardinals played
excellent defense holding the Devils to only three points for the entire
fourth quarter before falling to Condon, 36-42.
The Lady Cardinals were shy the leadership consistently
provided by teammate, Amellia Peck. Peck suffered a serious ankle
injury on Thursday, preventing her any game time the entire weekend.
Natalie McEUigott led the Cardinals on the scoreboard with 15 points.
McEUigott also grabbed five rebounds, two steals and delivered four
assists. Barbara Holland did an outstanding job of filling the void left
by Peck by scoring eight points, grabbing four rebounds and one steal.
Cyndi Heagy scored six points, grabbed two rebounds and two steals.
Diana McEUigott added four points, captured three rebounds, three
steals and led the team with five assists. Salli McEUigott scored two
points, grabbed one rebound, swiped one Devil possession and delivered
one assist. Kristina Powell scored one points, led the team on the
boards with seven rebounds, blocked two Condon shot attempts, swiped
one steal and delivered one assist.

points, 28-25. lone scored an

quarter and Helix scored two
baskets and made three of eight
attempts at the line for a total of
seven points, handing lone the 40-
32 victory.
