TEN - Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, January 30, 2002 Sheriff's Report The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) reports handling the following business: J a n , 13:M CSO, H eppner Police Dept, received a report of four subjects (two males and two females) fighting behind G D ’s Restaurant. Officers were unable to locate any activity. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact regarding information the caller has on drug and theft activity. -M CSO . OSP, Boardm an Police Dept., Boardman Ambu lance. M CSO K-9, U m atilla County Sheriff’s Office, Umatilla Police Dept, responded to an un specified incident. -MCSO received a report of an audible burglar alarm at the Spud Cellar. The call was can celled. -Boardman Police Dept, of ficer cited a juvenile for No Op erator’s License and Driving Un insured. The vehicle was towed then released. -MCSO. Boardman Police Dept, received a report of a pos sible fight in Boardman. -MCSO received a report of unlicensed 4-wheelers driving around in Irrigon. -MCSO received a report of a possible DU11 on Highway 730. -Boardman Police Dept, of fic e r a rre ste d Jam es Ray Steelman, 46, on a Morrow Coun ty Circuit Court warrant for Fail ure to Appear/Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. He was trans ported to the Umatilla County Jail with $20,000 bail. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a request for of ficer contact from a caller in Boardman to search his son’s vehicle. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact regarding renters destroying screens in win dows o f her residence. The call er was advised this is a civil mat ter. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received another call for officer contact regarding search ing a car for drugs. The caller was calling fora man whose son owns the car. The caller was advised that a search could not be per formed without permission o f the owner; the father could search the car himself and report if he finds anything. -MCSO, Heppner Police Dept, received a report from a caller in Heppner that a friend would be watching the c a lle r’s m other’s home in Heppner. -M C SO , ODOT received a report that a horse trailer broke dow n on H ighw ay 207 near Hardman. The trailer would be re paired and moved the next day. -M CSO received a request from a caller in Boardman to con tact her therapist. Behavioral health was contacted. Behavioral health called M CSO and advised the phone line was constantly busy and to contact the caller and have her hang up her phone. Contact was made. -M C SO deputy arrested James Kenneth Ellison, 21, on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Pay Fine/Driving while License Suspended and Driving Uninsured. He was also cited for Driving while License Suspended and Violation of the Basic Rule, 71 mph in a 55 mph zone. He was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail with $499 bail. -Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report o f loud music at a residence in Boardman. -Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report from a caller in Boardman that his wife, who has a restraining order against her, was within 750 feet of his house earlier that day. Kathleen Martin. 43, was cited for Violation of a Restraining Order. -MCSO received a report of a smoke detection alarm. It was a false alarm. -MCSO deputy delivered a re straining order to Marilyn Jane Lienig, 49. A message was left for the person who requested the or der that it had been served. -MCSO deputy assisted a citi zen in giving him a ride to a service station in Irrigon. -MCSO deputy assisted in put ting horses back in their corral in Irrigon. -M C SO . Boardm an Police Dept, received a report from a call er who is three months pregnant that her boyfriend kicked her in the stom ach during an argum ent. Serapo Angeles Perez, 37, was cit ed for Harassment. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that her ex-boy- friend had hit her in the face while she was holding her three-year-old child. This occurred in Prosser, contact, it was determined all was okay. -MCSO deputy cited a male juvenile for Failure to Dim Lights, Failure to Carry Proof o f Insur ance and Failure to Use Seat Belt. -M CSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that some one had spray-painted their win dows and fence. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Boardman that his car had been taken between 5-6 p.m. that day. The keys had been in the vehicle. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report from a caller in Boardman of a suspicious vehicle. The pickup pulled into an area, shut off its lights and was sitting there. Jan. 15: MCSO, Oregon State Police received a report of an audible alarm at a residence in Irrigon. The hom eow ner was contacted and all was okay. -MCSO received a report from a Boardman Police Dept, officer that he contacted a male subject dress in a camo jacket on private property. The subject was hiding in bushes and was very nervous. The subject was told to leave the property and not come back. -Heppner Police Dept, re ceived a request for officer con tact in Heppner regarding ques tions about a restraining order. -Boardman Police Dept, of ficer cited William James Foden, 28, for Permitting a Dog to Run at Large. -MCSO received a request for deputy contact regarding someone breeding a stallion with the caller’s mare at the Columbia River stable, where she boards her horse. -MCSO received a report from Irrigon o f a 75-year-old male with chest pain. The patient was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston. -MCSO received a report from a subject in Irrigon that someone keyed her vehicle while it was at Greg’s Tavem the pre vious night. -Irrigon Ambulance received a request for an ambulance at Columbia Middle School for a 13- year-old with a possible broken collarbone. The patient was trans ported to Good Shepherd Medi cal Center in Hermiston. -M CSO, M orrow County Road Dept, received a report of a street sign down; the sign was at the reporter’s residence. -MCSO deputy cited Mark Lee Pace, 41, for Violation of the Basic Rule, 71 mph in a 55 mph zone. -MCSO deputy cited a juve nile female for Driving while Li cense Suspended-1. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report of a pos sible DU1I with a pickup weav ing all over the road. It was not a DUII. Jan. 16:H eppner Police Dept, received a report from a caller in Heppner that two suspi cious males were looking into win dows o f a business across the street from the motel. -M C SO deputy cited Terrance J. Wammack, 29, for Jayme Hansen (left) and Kim Hansen at the Seaplane design house.Exceeding the Maximum Speed Limit 74 mph in a 55 mph zone in a commercial vehicle. -MCSO, Oregon State Police stopped a vehicle that failed to yield. Several citations were is sued. -M CSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that his stereo speaker was stolen from his patio the previous night. -MCSO received a report from a subject in Irrigon who had been assaulted the previous night; he advised that he had marks on his face where he had been hit by a stick. -M CSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon of an on going problem with the neighbor’s dogs chasing the caller’s children to the school bus; the dogs have also cornered the children in their driveway. WA. She was advised to report it to the Prosser Police Dept, since that is where it occurred. The phone number was given to the caller. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report from a caller in Boardman that suspicious subjects were seen in the area. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Washington who had just returned home and her mother told her she had received several phone calls where the caller said, “You’re dead.” then hung up. The caller thought she knew who it was and that the reason was a restraining order served on her. -M CSO, H eppner Police Dept, arrested Ross Carlyle Van Etta. 21, on a Morrow County Circuit Court warrant for Parole Violation/Sex Abuse 11 and Sod omy III. He was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. Jan. 14: MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that her vehicle was removed from her driveway sometime during the night. She may have left the keys in the car. The caller later found the vehicle at her son’s house; no officer contact was needed. -MCSO. Oregon State Po lice received a report o f a vehi cle traveling at a high rate of speed. -MCSO received a report from UCSO that Roger Dale Wilkinson, 31, was arrested on two M orrow County Circuit Court warrants for Failure to Appear/Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Failure to Appear/ Theft I. He was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail with $60,000 bail. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that the neighbors moved Saturday and left their dog in the house. -Boardman Police Dept, of ficer cited M aria D olores Estrella-Torres. 33, for No Op erator’s License. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon whose dog, adopted from Pet Rescue, brought a chicken home. The caller said that he would pay the owner for the chicken if anyone called about it. -MCSO received a request for deputy contact in Boardman regarding transporting a crane to Coyote Springs. -Heppner Police Dept, re ceived a request for officer con tact in Heppner regarding be longings that needed to be picked up and dropped of at the neigh bor’s. -Heppner Police Dept, re ceived a report from a caller at the R&W Drive-In in Heppner that a male subject’s dog was being a nuisance and that peo ple at the R&W wanted to sign a complaint. -MCSO received a request for deputy contact at Bake’s Restaurant in Irrigon regarding threats being made. -M CSO, Boardm an Fire Dept., Boardman Ambulance received a report o f a man trapped in a pipe w ith combusti ble m aterial at the dairy in Boardman. There was a lan guage barrier. There was no man trapped in a pipe. It was determined to be the same inci dent reported below. -MCSO, Oregon State Po lice, Boardman Ambulance re ceived a report o f a concrete truck that rolled over in a ditch. The driver was injured and trans ported to Good Shepherd Medi cal Center in Hermiston. -MCSO. ODOT received a report o f a controlled bum at the Port o f Morrow and 1-84 inter change that would smolder for awhile. -MCSO deputy cited Don na Maben, 33, for Failure to Stop for School Bus Lights. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report from a caller in Boardman of a violation of a restraining order. -MCSO received a report from the Stanfield Police Dept, that Joseph Bart Corliss, 35, was arrested on a Morrow County Circuit Court warrant for Fraud Use of Credit Card and Theft II. He was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail with $ 10,000 bail. -MCSO received a hang-up 911 call from Irrigon. It was de termined all was okay. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that he let a friend borrow his car about 24 hours previous and the friend hasn’t returned it yet; the caller wanted it reported stolen. The caller called back and said he didn’t want it reported stolen at this time. -MCSO received a hang-up 911 call from Boardman. On re Emergent clothing designer is featured in first runway show Jayme Hansen (fourth from left) is recognized as a designer for the runway show. Jayme Hansen, Portland, formerly of Heppner, was mentioned in The Oregonian newspaper's fashion section Sunday. Hansen, an emerging clothing designer, had avant-garde designs featured in a fashion runway show in Portland which was covered by The Oregonian. Hansen designs and sews clothing for Seaplane, a collective design house located at 3352 S.E. Belmont in Portland. The shop, owned and operated by Kathryn Towers and Holly Stalder, “strives to provide high fashion with a vision of clothing as art.” The show included collections from 18 of Seaplane’s designers. Proceeds from the show and silent auction were donated to “Dress for Success,’’ “a women’s charity that provides interview-worthy clothing for women re-establishing themselves in the workforce.” Kim Hansen, Jayme’s sister, was a runway model for the show. I -MCSO received a request for deputy phone contact from a caller in Irrigon regarding her per sonal property at the Irrigon Med ical Center. -MCSO received a report of three suspicious male juveniles. A subject was cited. -Heppner Police Dept, re ceived a report from the Heppner Neighborhood Center that some one dropped off a bag o f items with two pellet guns in it. The se rial numbers o f the guns were run. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that two coats were found on a road with a trail leading into the water. It appeared as though someone was possibly dragged into the pond. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that neigh bors were trying to get dogs to fight through a fence. -MCSO received a request for deputy contact regarding a videotaped interview fora school report. -MCSO received a request for a page for the Irrigon Fire Dept, regarding an illegal bum in Irrigon. They were also called to another illegal bum in a different location in Irrigon. -MCSO received a report of a burglar alarm at a business in Irrigon. It was a false alarm; em ployees set it off by mistake. -Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a hang-up 911 call from a residence in Boardman. Recon tact was attempted three times; the line was busy each time. An officer investigated and deter mined all was okay. -MCSO received a report of a vehicle driving recklessly in Irrigon. The vehicle hit a trash can and also ran a stop sign. The vehicle was located. -MCSO, Boardman Policy Dept, received a report from a caller in Irrigon that a vehicle rolled over into her yard. There was no one in the vehicle but two subjects were seen leaving the area. The vehicle was impound ed. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Boardman o f a hit and run. The caller was at a stop sign and was rear-ended by a vehicle with two males. The caller said that when she confront ed them, they smelled of alcohol they said it wasn’t their fault and left. Jan. 17: MCSO deputy ar: rested A m ber W ilson on an Irrigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Appear/Theft of Ser vices. She was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail with $ 1,000 bail. -Boardman Police Dept, of- ficercited Jonathan M. Strain, 39, for Driving while License Sus- pended/No Operator’s License. -MCSO received a request for deputy phone contact regard ing the repossession of a hot tub. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report o f an un wanted person at the Boardman Chevron Station. It was deter mined that the male subject was not allowed at the business. -MCSO received a hang-up 911 call from a residence in Boardman. On recontact, the call er advised they were going to re port a stolen purse, but decided to call the Boardman Police Dept, instead. -MCSO, ODOT received a report of several small fires in the median on 1-84 westbound. It was determined to be controlled bums by ODOT. -MCSO received a request for deputy contact in Boardman regarding other employees where the caller works harassing her and throwing rocks at her car. -MCSO received a report from a male subject at the east- bound rest area at Boardman that the people he hitched a ride with left him stranded at the rest area and had taken his clothes and medication. -MCSO received a request for deputy contact from a caller in Irrigon regarding her live-in male friend threatening her; she wanted him out of the residence.
