FOUR - Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, October 24, 2001 Sheriff's Report The Morrow C ounty S h e riffs Office (M CSO) reports handling the following business: -MCSO received a request for information on several vehicles parked in the Morrow County School District office parking lot in Lexington. -Irrigon Fire Dept., Irrigon ambulance received a report o f a residential fire alarm at a residence along the county line. The fire dept and am bulance were later advised to stand down. -M CSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that her son had returned home. -M CSO received a report from a caller in Imgon that juvenile males were abusing a dog. -lone Fire Dept, received a report o f a stubble fire near lone. -MCSO received a report o f a suspicious vehicle near the anhydrous tanks and garbage pile near Lexington. -MCSO received a report o f a burglar alarm at the Heppner High School. It was a false alarm. Aug. 30: MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that someone was trying to break into her residence. -M CSO deputy reported that a vehicle in Im gon was found with its door opened and the dome light on. The owner advised that there was nothing missing. -Oregon State Police received a report that a semi truck ran a Toyota Camry o ff the road on 1-84 eastbound. -M CSO received a report o f an intrusion alarm at Bigfoot Industries. The caller called back and cancelled the alarm . -Oregon State Police received a report that a Honda with no plates was speeding down 1-84 westbound. -MCSO deputy arrested William Paul Coomer, 39, on an extraditable warrant out o f La Paz County, Ariz. for Agg. DUI x2 and additional warrants on file. There were no local charges. He was lodged at the Um atilla County Jail. -Boardman Police Dept, received a report that the caller's grandmother in Boardman had fallen and needed help getting up. -M C SO received a report that a. ^utyect in Irrigon was driving without an operator's license and was last seen driving westbound on Washington. -Oregon State Police received a report of retread on 1-84 eastbound that was causing a hazard and blocking traffic. -M CSO, Oregon State Police received a report from a woman in Im gon that her husband had just hit her. She reported he was on foot on Washington and may be hiding in the bushes to avoid arrest. A deputy advised OSP to disregard the report. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Im gon that someone Columbia Basin dinner Nov. 1 The annual dinner m eeting o f the C olum bia Basin Electric C ooperative, Inc., is planned for Thursday, Nov. 1, at the M orrow County Fairgrounds in Heppner. Registration starts at 5 p.m. with dinner served at 6 p.m. The annual meeting and election o f directors for zones 2, 5, 6 and 8 will follow the dinner. "Entertainm ent and fun for the whole fam ily is in store for the evening," said a CBEC news release. Multiple door prizes will be awarded and results o f the annual fourth grade electrical safety poster contest will be announced with winning posters on display. Marriage Licenses The Morrow County Clerk's office at the courthouse in Heppner reports issuing the following marriage license: Oct. 16-William Sherman Hill V, 51, Irrigon; and Karen Lee White, 50, Im gon. ransacked his house while he was gone. He thought his ex-wife may be involved. -M CSO received a report o f a dead deer on Highway 207. No deer was found between Heppner and Lexington. -Oregon State Police received a report o f a vehicle possibly pulling a U-haul trailer was sparking underneath. The vehicle was on 1-84 westbound approximately five miles west o f Boardman, -MCSO deputy reported a male subject with an unknown medical condition slumped over the steering wheel o f a vehicle. The ambulance was paged then cancelled. Esten Chenault was arrested for DUII and the vehicle impounded. -Boardman Fire Dept., Umatilla Army Depot, Union Pacific Railroad received a report that a train traveling along had started several fires along the tracks. Fires were located from Patterson Ferry Road east to 1-84 milepost 177. Boardman fought fire in their district while UAD fought fire in theirs. Union Pacific was notified and halted all rail traffic in the area until the tracks were cleared o f fire fighting equipment and personnel. - MCSO deputies arrested Kenneth Harry Smith, 47, for Assault IV Domestic. He was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. Aug. 31: MCSO conducted a background check at the request o f the U.S. Investigation Services, Inc. o f Renton, W ash. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report from the 76 Station in Boardman that several people were causing problems at the station. It was requested that they leave, but they refused. They were driving a white car with Washington plates. -M CSO, Oregon State Police received a report o f a hay spill on 1-84 westbound that was blocking the road. -Boardman Police Dept, officer arrested Maria Elena Andrade on an Imgon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Pay Fine/Dnving while License Suspended, Driving Uninsured. She was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. -MCSO received a report o f a audible alarm at Sentry Market in Irrigon. The alarm was actually at Bake's Restaurant. It was a false alarm. -MCSO received a request for an ambulance in Imgon for a 74-year old female with a possible fractured leg. One patient was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston. -MCSO received a report from UCSO that Dean Curtis Polston, 32, was arrested on a circuit court warrant for Manufacture/ Distribution o f a Controlled Substance x2, Possession o f a Controlled Substance, Eluding, and on local charges o f Escape IB. He was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail. -Heppner Fire C hief received a report o f a hot spot with open flames by Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Heppner. The area had already burned before. The fire chief checked it out. -MCSO, Boardman Fire Dept, received a report o f a large amount o f black smoke by the Boardman Marina. The fire was on the W ashington side o f the river. -Oregon State Police received a report o f a large piece o f tire on 1-84 eastbound. -Oregon State Police received a report from a driver that another vehicle was harassing them. The caller had passed the vehicle and the pickup started to tailgate them, try to pass and flip them off. -MCSO received a request for an officer contact regarding the neighbor's sheep dam aging the caller's yard. -MCSO deputy assisted a disabled vehicle on Highway 730. -Heppner ambulance, lone EMTs received a request for an ambulance for a 73-year-old male in lone with unknown medical problem s. The patient was transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Heppner. -Oregon State Police received a report of a disabled U-Haul on 1-84 westbound. It was not blocking traffic. -Oregon State Police received a report o f a piece o f wood or steel on the center land divider on 1-84 Willows Grange #672 eastbound. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Imgon that an intoxicated male subject just parked a vehicle in his yard and staggered off to the neighbor's. A citation was issued to Eliodoro Flores-Macias, 40, o f Im gon, for DUII ( BAC .34) and Driving while License Suspended- M isdemeanor. His vehicle was impounded and released. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report of loud music from the comer of Blalock and Kinkade streets. The subjects said they w ould turn the music down. -MCSO received a report from the Gresham Police Dept, that Patty Hampton, 37, was arrested on a Heppner Justice Court warrant for Contempt o f Court/Failure to Pay Fine-DUII. She was lodged at the M ultom ah County Jail. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report from C&D Bakery regarding counterfeit money. A juvenile subject was cited for Possession o f a Forged Instrument I, Possession o f a Forged Instrument II (x2) and Giving False Information to a Police Officer. Sept. 1: MCSO received a report o f a panic alarm at a residence in Imgon. The owner o f the residence was contacted and the owner advised someone was on her back porch. A deputy was unable to locate anyone. -MCSO received a report from a caller in lone that the neighbor's dogs got into his chicken coop and killed all his chickens. -Heppner Police Dept, received a report o f vandalism at the caller's residence in Heppner. -Oregon State Police received a report o f a red semi buck on 1-84 westbound chasing the caller's vehicle at high rates o f speed. -Oregon State Police received a report o f several bystanders standing too close to the railroad tracks while watching windsurfers. -Oregon State Police received a report from a couple in Irrigon that they had a dispute and he wanted his belongings while she wanted restraining order inform ation. -MCSO received a report from the Imgon Mobile Court of ajuvemle male swinging a cat by its tail. -MCSO received a report from the Hermiston Police Dept, that a juvenile was located. The juvenile's m other in Irrigon was notified. -Oregon State Police, Boardman Police, Dept, received^ report that the caller's husband hit a sign on an 1-84 westbound exit. No damage or injury were reported. -Boardman Police Department cited Francisco C ruz-H em andez, 54, o f Boardman, for No Operator's License and Driving Uninsured. The vehicle was impounded. -MCSO received a request for deputy contact in Imgon regarding a male subject breaking into the caller's residence and stealing alcohol. -MCSO received a report from a woman camping 25 miles from Heppner above Cutsforth Park whose six-month old baby had fallen from the bed in the camper. The baby was breathing fine and appeared to be okay, but the caller wanted her checked. Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Heppner was advised they would be arriving in a private vehicle. -M CSO deputy cited Jose Zamuido, 67, o f Imgon, for Driving while License Suspended-Infraction and Driving Uninsured. The vehicle was impounded. -Boardman Police Dept, received a report from the W ilson Road Trailer Court that the manager approved a birthday party with a curfew at one o f the trailers but now they are getting loud and drinking a lot. The manager wanted the police to know what was going on in case there was a problem. - Boardman Police Dept received a report from a caller in Boardman that she advised a male subject to move out o f her home by Aug. 31.
