Curtis, 21, was arrested on an Inigon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Pay Fine/MIP-Alcohol. -Boardman Police Dept, received a request for officer contact in Boardman regarding a parking problem. Someone parked in the caller’s space. He asked them to move and spoke to the manager, but nothing happened. The caller was forced to park in a no-parking zone. -MCSO received a report o f a dead deer up Hinton Creek on Highway 74. The deer was off the road. -MCSO, Heppner Police Dept, received a report that three males were starting a fight with the caller’s three children in Heppner. Aug. 19: MCSO received a report from a caller in Im gon that her 13- year-old son had run away again. The boy was located and returned home. -Heppner Police Dept, received a report from a caller in Heppner that a female subject had harassed her by phone. The caller requested officer contact. -Oregon State Police received a report o f a small vehicle speeding 100+ mph on 1-84 westbound. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report from Boardman o f three male subjects who were looking in car windows at the Columbia Villa Apts. Officers were unable to locate the subjects. -MCSO received a report from a Boardman Police Dept, officer that two m ale subjects ran from the officer. The subjects fit the description o f the subjects in the previous call. -MCSO, Boardman ambulance received a request for an ambulance for a male subject who had fallen 20 feet. The patient was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston. -MCSO received a report o f an entry motion burglar alarm at the Spud Cellar in Boardman. It was an employee eiror. -MCSO received a report o f a woman on a motorcycle speeding around the Irrigon mobile home court and East Street. The woman was possibly intoxicated. -MCSO received a report from Irrigon o f problems caused by a man claiming to be looking for child care. -MCSO received a report relayed by Oregon State Police o f a Ford Taurus with two males who were driving recklessly and speeding on Highway 730 en route to the Boardman area. All units were out o f position. -MCSO, Oregon State Police, Im gon ambulance, Umatilla ALS received a report o f a motor vehicle accident in Im gon near the fish hatchery entrance. It was a one- vehicle roll-over with two juvenile females ejected from the vehicle. Both had severe injuries; one had massive head injuries. The patients were transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston; the ambulance picked up the Umatilla ALS crew in Um atilla. -M CSO, M orrow County Behavioral Health received a request for a mental health contact from Boardman Christian Center for a female subject. -M CSO received a report from a caller in Im gon that a female subject just called and threatened to kill her and that she was en route to her house. Both parties were contacted by a M CSO deputy. -MCSO deputy cited Gustavo Barrera-Andrade, 40, o f Irrigon for DUII. He had a BAC o f .13. His vehicle was impounded. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that three llamas were loose in his yard and there was no one home at the owner's residence. The llamas were rounded up and secured. -Oregon State Police received a report of a suspicious male subject walking on Highway 74 into Morrow County. The subject was in his late 50s with long hair and a beard and was carrying a pack. -M CSO received a report from Imgon that the caller's mother and stepfather were missing. They were last contacted the day before at the same residence where the caller was. The caller advised that the missing couple left together en route to an unknown bar. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report from the Boardman Chevron o f a possible DUII driver. The vehicle was located at the manna park but no one was in the vehicle. The vehicle was witnessed leaving the park. It rear-ended another vehicle that was stopped at a stop sign and left the scene o f the accident. The driver o f the second vehicle was injured but did not want an ambulance contacted. An officer located the first vehicle on Main Street in Boardman. Adrian Garcia- M endoza, 23, o f Boardman, was cited for DUII, with a BAC o f .25, and Failure to Perform Duties o f a Driver, Injury. The vehicle was impounded. -Boardman Police Dept, received a request for an extra patrol on Kunze Lane in Boardman. A pickup was spinning its tires and making a lot o f noise. Aug. 20: MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report o f m ultiple audible alarm s at a Boardman residence. Contact was m ade with the residence and the subject was unable to give the proper alarm code. The resident's owner was contacted. All was okay and the alarm was reset. -MCSO received a report o f a suspicious male subject at the summit o f Franklin Grade on Highway 74 apparently trying to hitch a ride. -Boardman Police Dept, received a report o f an illegal campfire in Boardman with fairly large sparks flying everywhere. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, and medics received a report from Dodge City Inn in Boardman o f a 79-year-old male with an irregular heartbeat and slight chest pain. -MCSO received a request for inform ation in reference to the caller's stepson violating his probation. -Boardman Police Dept, received an abandoned 911 call from Boardman. It was determined the line automatically dials 911 when picked up and a trucker accidentally picked it up. All was okay. -MCSO received a report from a Boardman subject that the window in his mother's vehicle was broken out and the stereo taken. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that she hadn't seen her son since Aug. 15. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that her mail had been tam pered with. -MCSO, Poison Control received a report from a caller in Boardman that her two-year-old son drank a little peroxide. -MCSO received a report o f a red colored bull out on the roadway on Highway 207 two to three miles south o f the Highway 206 junction. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a request for an officer contact in Boardm an regarding a driving complaint against the driver o f a Ford pickup. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Irrigon that her ex boyfriend drove by her house recklessly and threw rocks with his vehicle tires at her son. -Boardman Police Dept, received a request for an officer contact to fingerprint a person for employment reasons. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a request for a welfare check on a female subject at the Boardman Christian Center who had been very depressed and threatening to cut her wrists. An officer attempted to contact the subject but was unable to locate her. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report of an audible alarm at the Boardman Auto Repair. A door was found open. It was determined the owner left the door open. The manager secured the door. -MCSO received a report of loud music com ing from a neighbor's residence in Imgon. The caller just wanted the area checked. -Boardman Police Dept, received a report o f a speeding vehicle traveling past the library on Main Street in Boardman. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report from a caller in Boardman that someone entered his vehicle while it was parked at his residence. The dome light was on and the door left open. It did not appear that anything had been taken. An officer was unable to locate any subjects. Aug. 21: M CSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report that someone threw som ething at the caller's house window in Boardman. -Heppner Police Dept, received a report o f two suspicious-looking vehicles parked in an area in Heppner. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, detained ajuvemle for MIP-Alcohol, V rotation of State Curfew Regulation and Possession o f Less than One Oz. Marijuana. The juvenile was cited and released to his parents. -Oregon State Police received a report from a caller m Imgon that a semi-truck and trailer were stuck in a sand dune in front o f her residence. The caller said it appeared the truck had run o ff the road. -MCSO received another report from Imgon o f the stuck semi-truck. It appeared that it had also tom up a fence and phone box. -MCSO received a request for deputy contact regarding fingerprinting a person for foster care. -MCSO received a report of items stolen over the w eekend from a Boardman business. Missing were a core drill unit and M ackstar welding unit. -MCSO received a report o f a Coleman generator worth $ 1,000 stolen from a gravel pit near Irrigon the previous night. -MCSO received a report o f a 93 Jeep Wrangler stolen from Imgon the previous night. A locked gate had been cut to get to the vehicle. -M CSO received a report that a tackle box was stolen out o f a boat at the Irrigon M arina. -M CSO received a report from a caller at Anson W right Park that their vehicle was broken down. -M CSO received a report from Boardm an that the caller's granddaughter had been beaten up early that m orning near M orrow Estates. The caller requested deputy contact. -MCSO deputy cited and released Christopher Michael Elliot, 21, for Possession o f Less than One Oz. Marijuana. -MCSO received a request for deputy contact from a caller in Irrigon regarding children left by themselves. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Im gon that items were m issing from her home. -MCSO deputies located a squatter cam p across from the Corps o f Engineers campground in Im gon. -Heppner Police Dept, received a report o f a burglar alarm at the Heppner Elem entary School. All was okay. Some people were working in the building. -MCSO received a report that someone left a bike at the Morrow County Fairgrounds. -MCSO, Oregon State Police received a report o f a white car on 1-84 eastbound speeding 90+ mph. -MCSO deputies cited a juvenile driver for No Operator’s License and No Insurance. Rodney Paul Langlitz, 34, was cited for Allowing an Unlicensed Driver to Drive. The vehicle was impounded. -MCSO received a request for assistance picking up Rita Madugno, 35, in Irrigon. -MCSO received a report from Brown's Auto Truck Stop in Irrigon o f a Ford Ranger in the parking lot with a male subject who was non- responsive, but breathing, possibly a DUII. Jam es Charles Bray, 42, was arrested and lodged at the Umatilla County Jail on a UCSO detainer. The vehicle was impounded and towed. -MCSO received a report from the Umatilla Depot regarding an abandoned vehicle near Division Street in Irrigon. -MCSO received a request for deputy contact regarding a burglary at the Im gon Marina. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Salem that a male subject and child left Im gon this morning en route to Salem but hadn’t made it there yet. -MCSO received a report from a 15-year-old juvenile in Imgon of someone knocking on the caller's door. The juvenile was home alone with a sister and they were scared. All was okay - it was a friend. -MCSO received a request for assistance for a woman locked out o f her car in Heppner. The locksmith was contacted. -MCSO received an abandoned 911 call from Boardman. The residence was recontacted and all was okay. Aug. 22: M CSO, Heppner ambulance received a report o f a 91 -year-old woman in Heppner who fell and couldn't get up. The patient was transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital. -MCSO received a report from Oregon City Police Dept that, a juvenile was arrested on an Heppner Justice Court warrant for Forgery D. He was lodged at the Clackamas C ounty Jail in Oregon City with $6,000 bail. -MCSO, Boardman Fire Dept., Boardman am bulance received a report o f a single vehicle rollover on the Bombing Range Road. It appeared to be a non-injury, non- blocking accident. One patient was transported to Good Shepherd M edical Center in Hermiston. -MCSO received another report o f the motor vehicle accident on the Bombing Range Road. The caller had witnessed the accident and said he would remain on the scene. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact regarding an abandoned vehicle in Im gon. -M CSO, Irrigon Fire Dept, received a report o f smoke near Irrigon. It was a controlled bum. -MCSO received a report of found items - a chainsaw, microwave and car parts. -MCSO deputy assisted the Corps o f Engineers in requesting a female subject to leave an area. -MCSO received a request for deputy contact in Imgon regarding an adult male harassing the caller's children. -MCSO received a request for deputy contact in Imgon regarding a 10-year-old boy taking money from the caller's son and throwing rocks. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report from the Boardman 76 station o f a male subject with a blue sleeping bag yelling and cursing at customers in the parking lot. -MCSO received a report from Imgon o f a vehicle hitting the caller’s friend's vehicle and leaving. Teresa De La Cruz Claustro, 31, was cited for Failure to Perform Duties o f a Driver. She was cited and released. -M CSO received a report from Im gon for a welfare check. The caller hadn't seen a female subject and couldn't get her to answer her door. The caller called back and said the wom an was okay. Heppner library has new classics collection By Debbie H arper The Heppner branch o f the Oregon Trail Library District has a new 50-volum e collection o f American classics. In additicavto works by Steinbeck, Faulkner and Frost, there are volumes on John Muir’s nature writings, slave narratives, reporting on Vietnam, and James Thurber's writings and drawings. The books have cloth covers, sewn, not glued, bindings and use acid free paper. The collection will be presented on Thursday, Oct. 18. The library will have cookies and coffee for the public. There will also be drawings and giveaways. The collection comes from The M illennium Project for Public Education. The Millennium Project was created by the Nation Endowment for the Humanities, The Library of America and the American Library Association. It was funded by the Carnegie Corporation o f New York, which has been supporting libraries and reading for over 100 years. For information call Barb Orwick at 676-9964. New propane business opens From the Condon Times-Journal Jim Boor, a long-time local area resident, has gone into business on his own. The bulk plant for T n- County Propane has gone in at Arlington, while the business office for the new concern will be located at Boor's home m lone. The company will serve G illiam , W heeler and Morrow counties with propane sales and service. Jim Boor went to high school at Arlington then served in the military. Once a civilian again, he worked at Pendleton for a time then moved to lone in 1977 and worked for Dobyns Pest Control, then for Heppner Nor-Gas. For the past 12 years, he has worked in the propane plant for M orrow C ounty Grain Growers. Since May this year, when he left Morrow County Gram Growers, Boor and his step-son Kevin Ball have been setting up the new venture. Ball is a Morrow County native, who spent eight years in the military after graduating from lone High School in 1988. He attended college at both Central W ashington and Eastern Washington, then worked for two years with a software company at Spokane, Washington.
