They were maimed on August 25,1951, at Englewood Christian Church in Portland. They reside at the Bergstrom family ranch at Gooseberry near lone. Donna Marcum grew up in Portland and graduated from Jefferson High School. She graduated from Pacific University and then taught school at Helix. After her marriage she was a substitute teacher in Morrow and Gilliam counties. Roland grew up at the family ranch and graduated from lone High School. He was in the Navy during WW1I and then attended Pacific University. He returned to the family farm and worked there until his retirement. fhe Bergstroms enjoy traveling and have taken many trips abroad. They remain active in the community and are members of Valby Lutheran Church. The couple has four daughters, Carley Drake, Heppner, Shauna Stroble, Lake Oswego, Kay Bergstrom, Kula, Hawaii, and Lon Bush, Winston. They have six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren. The family is planning a Sunday brunch aboard the Portland Stemwheeler on Sunday, August 26. Roland and Donna Bergstrom 1951 Motorcycle safety class planned WOU announces honor roll A motorcycle safety class will be held in Pendleton September 28-30. The 16-hour course includes both classroom and on- cycle instruction. Enrollment is limited and preregistration is required. Motorcycles and helmets are provided for student use during the course. Tuition is $65. Motorcycle riders under 21 must successfully complete this course to become eligible for a motorcycle endorsement on their Oregon operator's license. A total of 111 students have been named to the president's list and another 663 students have been named to the honor roll for spring term 2001 at Western Oregon University in Monmouth. President's list students achieved a perfect 4.0 grade point average, while honor roll students earned a 3.5 to 3.99 average. Local students named to the honor roll are Petra Elguezabal, Heppner, and Richard Partlow, Boardman. WOU, with an enrollment of more than 4,700 students, is a four- year, liberal arts university within the Oregon University System.
