Forest fires and continuing dry conditions have forced the closure o f the Ukiah-Dale State Park on Highway 395 in southern Umatilla County. Fire is not threatening the park at this time. However, due to limited access, the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department decided to close the park. Ukiah-Dale has 27 primitive camping sites. There were no campers in the park at the time of the closure. The campground host, who resides at the park, has been relocated. This is the first fire-related park closure o f the season. However.
