Harshman, 85, of Heppner, died Thursday, June 14, 2001, at Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Heppner. Funeral services were held Monday, June 18,2001, at the First Christian Church in Heppner Concluding service asd burial followed at the Heppner Masonic Cemetery. She was bom September 5,1915 m Hardman, to Kinard and Ima Allen McDaniel. She was raised at Hardman and Lonerock and attended schools there. On May 27,1933, she married Everett O. Harshman in Heppner. The couple lived most of their lives in Morrow County except for a time when they owned and operated a motel at Port Angeles, Washington. They sold the motel and returned to Heppner where they purchased Nora's Apparel in 1960. The shop then became Elma's Apparel. They also operated a dress shop in Condon for a time. In 1967, they started a flower shop, selling the business and retiring in 1979. The couple lived on a ranch on upper Willow Creek that they had purchased in 1962. They sold the ranch in 1989 and moved into Heppner. Mrs. Harshman was a member o f the Holly Rebekah Lodge. Survivors include her husband, Everett O. Harshman of Heppner; son, Noel Harshman o f Echo; daughters, Sandra Rill o f Heppner and Teresa Harshman-Ward of LaPme; brother, Delvin McDaniel of Pendleton; 12 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Ramona Marshall; a brother, Dallas McDaniel; and a great-grand son, Adam Harshman. Memorial contributions may be made to Pioneer Memorial Auxiliary, P.O. Box 9, Heppner Oregon 97836. Sweeney Mortuary of Heppner was in charge of arrangements. The nine-10-year Old Willow Creek All Stars team will travel to Redmond this weekend for the All Star Tournament. Their first game will be against the Jefferson County Nationals this Friday at 1:30 p.m. If the Willow Creek All Stars win their first game, they will play at 10 a.m. Saturday. If they lose, they will play at 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
