Heppner Gazette-Times, Heppner, Oregon Wednesday, May 23, 2001 - FIVE Sheriff's Report The Morrow County S heriffs Office (MCSO) reports handling the following business: -MCSO received a report of items stolen out of the back of the caller's vehicle in Imgon and he thought he knew who took them. March 25: MCSO received a report of an audible alarm at Huwe's Washboard. It was an employee error. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report of a motor vehicle accident at the 1-84 eastbound exit of the Port of Morrow. Several femalejuveniles were walking around. The vehicle involved was determined to have been stolen from Pomeroy, Washington, although at the time the owner did not know it was missing. The vehicle was impounded. -MCSO. Rita Modugno, 35, was cited for Criminal Trespass I. MCSO received an abandoned 911 cal from Imgon. A male answered the call back and said there was no emergency but hung up rather quickly. A deputy made contact and all was okay. MCSO received a report from a caller in Boardman that his pickup window had been broken out and the tape deck taken, but it wasn't known when. MCSO, Oregon State Police received a report from a caller in Im gon that his girlfriend's ex- husband was there. He was not wanted and he left, spinning the vehicle tires and throwing gravel. The ex-husband came back and the caller wanted assistance asap. MCSO deputy arrested Carlos Dommguez-Enves, 21. for DUII, Driving while License Suspended-infraction, and two Umatilla County Sheriffs office warrants for Criminal Trespass I and one Hermiston Police Dept, warrant for Failure to Appear/DUII. He was lodged at the Umatilla County Jail and the vehicle impounded. -MCSO received a report o f two older males riding motorcycles without helmets in the turkey shoots in Imgon. -MCSO, Oregon State Police received a report that a male had broken a window and entered a house in Imgon. The caller called back and said the man left in a Honda vehicle. -MCSO, Oregon State Police received a report from a caller in Imgon that a group of people at his neighbor's house was getting ready to have chicken fights. -MCSO, Boardman Police Dept., Boardman ambulance received a report from the Nomad in Boardman that a 55-60 year old male was possibly having a heart attack. Transport was refused. -MCSO received a report of loose cows in Imgon. The owner could not be contacted and a deputy corraled the cows himself. -MCSO received a request for deputy to make a welfare check on an elderly woman in Imgon. She hadn't been seen in a week and her dogs were barking. -MCSO received a report of a lost dog in Boardman The dog was found in the city park. -MCSO received a report that the caller’s grandparents took her belongings from her old rented residence without her permission. -MCSO, Heppner ambulance, lone QRT received a request for an ambulance for a 60- year-old man who was possibly having a stroke. One patient was transported to Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Heppner. M arch 26: BPD received report off two subjects attempting to pass a stolen check. -MCSO received report of a hit and run to a garbage can and the owner requested deputy contact -Oregon State Police arrested Arthur Ray Haskins, 42, on an Imgon Justice Court warrant for Failure to Appear/Dnving w hile License Suspended. The subject was lodged at Wallowa County Jail. -Oregon State Police received report of a disabled black pickup with a male and female attempting to flag help on 1-84 westbound. -MCSO received a report that propane tanks and vehicle parts were stolen the previous night in Imgon. -Heppner. lone and Lexington Fire depts., Heppner ambulance received report of a house fire in Heppner. The house was fully engulfed and lone and Lexington fire depts. were paged for mutual aid. -Heppner Fire Department received report of seeing and smelling smoke but no flames at a location in Heppner. Turns out it was an oil stove problem. -MCSO. Boardman Police Dept, received a report of a dnving complaint in Boardman; the male driver supposedly did not have an operator's license or insurance. -MCSO received a report from Yamhill County that Eric Correa-Espinoza, 21. arrested for a Morrow County Circuit warrant for Parole Violation/Assault IV w as released from Yamhill Prison due to overcrowding. -MCSO received a report from a caller in Imgon who saw three children under the age of five years old left alone in a locked vehicle at Sentry Market in Imgon. -MCSO received a request from a man in Imgon to have his girlfriend removed from his residence. She was breaking everything in the house and he believed she may have been on drugs. -MCSO received a report that the caller's niece ran away from Pendleton and was in Boardman. Hie caller was concerned for her safety. The girl was located. The Umatilla Tribal Police were also notified of the situation. -MCSO, Imgon ambulance received a report of an Imgon man with a history of high blood pressure who was having chest pains down his left side. The patient was transported to Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston. March 27: MCSO received a report of a vehicle stolen in Imgon, possibly by the caller's stepson. The vehicle was returned. -MCSO, Boardman ambulance received a request for an ambulance for a child ih Boardman with something caught around his hand that was cutting off his circulation. The ambulance call was cancelled. -MCSO received a request from a caller in Imgon who wanted to talk to an officer about filing a restraining order. -MCSO received a request from Potlatch for an extra patrol as eco-terronst action may occur. -MCSO received a report from an Irrigon man that his neighbor's dogs deep coming onto his property and ruining his new yard. -MCSO sent an Attempt to Locate request to Nampa, Ida. to locate a subject there. -MCSO received a request for an officer for an Imgon woman who reported that a woman at the water dept, had yelled at her. -MCSO received a request for a deputy contact in Imgon regarding a restraining order and what the caller could do until it was served. -MCSO received another report from Imgon of a neighbor’s dogs in the caller's yard. Francisco Javier Nunez, 43, Imgon, was cited for Maintaining a Dog as Public Nuisance. -MCSO received a report from the Multnomah County Sheriffs office of the warrant arrest of Armando Valdez, 23, for Failure to Comply/MIP He was lodged at the Multnomah County Jail. -MCSO deputy cited a minor for No Operator's License and No Insurance. The vehicle was impounded. -MCSO received a request for a deputy from a man in Boardman to removed an intoxicated man from his residence. A minor was cited for MIP-consumption. He was last seen about an hour previous. The woman called back and said she found him sitting in his chair in the bedroom and he was fine. -MCSO received a 911 call from a cell phone with a male and female yelling at each other and children crying in the background. Deputy contact was requested. -MCSO received a report of an unwanted vicious dog at a home in Boardman. -MCSO received report from a caller m Salem that her ex-husband had picked up the children for visitation and had not returned them as scheduled. -MCSO received a report from the Roseburg Police Dept, that David Hamilton was arrested on Imgon Justice Court warrants for Failure to Pay Fine/Dnving while License Suspended, EMS, and Failure to Pay Fine/Driving Uninsured. He was lodged at the Douglas County Corrections Facility. -MCSO received a report from Imgon that the caller's son was missing again after being home today. -MCSO, Arlington ambulance received a request for an ambulance for a 78-year-old diabetic man at the I-84/Highway 74 Junction who was confused and possibly having an insulin reaction. Transport was refused and the man was given a ride to Dodge City Motel.
