The students confirmed were T anrer Britt, Chuy Elguezabal, Kelsey Greenup, Brian Haguewood, Megan Healy, Conor Kilkenny, Paula Spicerkuhn, Marcy Miller, Christian Moller, Luke Murray and Julie Proctor. Readers at the Mass were Marcie Miller, Julie Proctor and Paula Spicerkuhn. Gift bearers were Luke Murray and Chuy Elguezabal. Music for the occasion was provided by Jean Strange, Faith Healy, Valerie Campbell and Anne Murray. Servers for the Mass were Nacho Elguezabal, Roy Proctor and Tony Haguewood. Crosier bearer was Rory Kilkenny and miter bearer was Sean Murray. Members o f the Holy Name Society were the honor guard for the Bishop. Following the Confirmation, the members o f St. Patrick Altar Society had a reception for those confirmed, their families and guests. 4-H leaders forum scheduled If you're an Oregon 4-H leader here's an opportunity to spend some time explonng central Oregon with your family while taking part in an annual tradition. The annual 4-H Leaders' Forum takes place on Apnl 6-7 ini Redmond. The forum is for all adult 4-H leaders and teen and junior leaders in grades 10-12. It's a time for leaders to get new ideas for 4-H activities, to meet other leaders from around the state, and to share 4-H experiences with others. Participants have over 35 workshops to choose from, including sessions related to horse projects, animal science projects, clothing projects and horticulture projects. Other workshops will concentrate on specific 4-H activities, such as improving photography skills, basic flower arranging, developing 4-H resumes, camp crafts, developing youth leaders and how to get a "jump on germs." This year's keynote speaker is Dr. Holly Jo Hodges, a former 4-H member and current Pnneville HHS/HJHS list honor students Heppner Jumor/High School has announced its honor roll for semester one 2000-2001. The Big Sky Conference sign is up and the championship boards are ready to go up. The flag will be moved higher on the wall. Total receipts for Saturday's concessions and pizza feed were not yet available. Jean and John Jepsen donated the salad for both the Fnday steak dinner and the pizza dinner. If the boys or girls teams go to the district tournament the pep assembly will be Thursday, Feb. 15. The tournament is Feb. 16-17 at Umatilla. Athletic Director Dean Robinson sent in names o f booster club members, businesses and individuals who bought ads on the sport schedule poster and the community calendar to the district for the printed basketball programs. It was announced that the lone Middle School boys and girls won the Helix Basketball Tournament. The next meeting of the Cardinal Booster Club will be Monday, March 5, at the lone High School library at 7 p.m. Morrow County District Attorney David C. Allen has released the following report: Crystal Irene Glass plead guilty to possession o f a controlled substance and was sentenced to 18 months formal probation, 80 hours com m unity service, com pletion o f drug and alcohol packages and $724 in fines, fees and assessments. Agustin Saucedo Sanchez plead guilty to contempt o f court, a restaimng order violation and was sentenced to 30 days in jail, suspended on the condition that he successfully com plete all conditions o f probation. 12 months bench probation and 40 hours o f com m unity service. He was also ordered to have no offensive physical contact with the victim and to com ply with any restraining order conditions. Kevin Haskel Bond plead guilty to contem pt o f court and was sentenced to 180 days in jail, with 155 days suspended on the condition that he successfully com plete all conditions o f probation, and 24 months bench probation. He was also ordered to have no contact with the victims, com plete alcohol and drug packages and pay $374 in fines, fees and assessments. Additionally, Bond plead guilty to Assault IV felony and was sentenced to 36 months formal probation, 80 hours com m unity service, with m isdem eanor treatment upon successful completion of probation conditions. He was also ordered to have no contact with the victims, complete alcohol and drug packages and pay $869 in fines, fees and assessments. Bond also plead guilty to Crim inal Trespass I and was sentenced to 180 days in jail, concurrent with previous sentence, with 155 days suspended on the condition that he successfully com plete all conditions o f probation, 24 months bench probation and 80 hours o f com m unity service, which may be satisfied by compliance of previous com m unity service. Bond's probation was revoked and reinstated and extended for a period o f one year from the original expiration date and he was ordered to comply with the conditions o f probation. Crysti Lynn Taylor plead no contest to possession o f a controlled substance and was sentenced to 18 months probation. She was ordered to com plete drug and alcohol packages and pay $464 in fines, fees and assessments. Bryan Padberg plead guilty to disorderly conduct and was sentenced to pay $299 in fines, fees and assessments. Russell Gene Whitbeck plead guilty to possession o f a controlled substance and was sentenced to 18 months formal probation and 80 hours o f com m unity service. He was also ordered to contact his probation officer no later than Feb. 9. complete a drug package and pay $474 in fines, fees and assessments. Aaron Stephen Jiron, plead guilty to Assault IV, misdemeanor, and was sentenced to 180 days in jail, suspended on the condition that he successfully com plete all conditions o f probation, 24 months bench probation and 80 hours o f com m unity service. He was ordered to have no offensive physical contact with the victims and not to initiate any threatening verbal behavior to those individuals. He was also ordered to pay $1,607.20 in fines, fees and assessments. Natalie McElligott was one o f the leading point producers m just one quarter o f play with a total o f 13 points. Emily Key also added 13 points and headed the Cardinal larceny with five steals. Salli M cElligott scored 12 points and also led the team with five steals. Caitlin Orem scored seven points and captured eight rebounds. Tracy GnfTith added seven points and led the team on the boards with 10 rebounds. Jeanette Brantley scored five points and seized eight rebounds. Meghan McCabe scored four points and delivered three assists. Megan E. McCabe scored two points in the second quarter for her team. Eva Chitty delivered two assists to her teammates. St. Patrick's Day is little over a month away, and the crews for 1 leppner's Annual St. Patrick's Day Celebration, "A Wee Bit o’ Ireland," are gearing up to make this year's celebration every bit as festive and homespun as the previous 18. One o f the events that is a highlight every year is the parade on Saturday, March 17, at 1 p.m. Craig Strobel, chairman o f the Parade Committee, is putting out the call for entries for the parade. Past entrants are being invited to come join the fun again this year, and new entries are always eagerly encouraged, particularly if they feature an Irish theme. Categories for participation include Insh float, Insh Character, Irish Bicycle, Insh Golf Cart, (you get the idea). Bands and Drill Teams, Antique Vehicles, and Insh Open Class (commonly called "Miscellaneous"). The only request is that equestnan entnes be reserved for the Fair and Rodeo Parade in August.
