Chamber Chatter By Claudia Hugh««, Chamber Manager Blue skies, a pleasant breeze, red white and blue flags flying, landscaped grounds, a variety of music, booths depicting organizations, livestock, food, and fun described Heppner's old time country fair and top notch Oregon Trail Pro-Rodeo. Many hard working volunteers before, during and after the events made it happen. The week prior the grounds shaped up rapidly with volunteers building, working on the grounds, planting flowers and pulling it all together. Those who took the time to enter the parade are to be commended. Please encourage the Bank of Eastern Oregon to enter its "Echoes of the Past" float in the Pendleton dress-up parade. It would certainly give other entries stiff competition and complement Morrow County's Oregon Trail Pro- Rodeo court. Good job. As we move into fall, school, football games, etc., there are many opportunities for conferences, seminars and trainings in all areas to keep our adult brains in good working order.
