Princess Rachel far as a member of the Morrow County Fair and Oregon Trail Pro Rodeo royalty was at Sisters. There the girls stayed in a cabin that had a hot tub and were able to go hot-tubbing after a long run-in. The cabin was ideal because it had a place right next to it for their horses. Princess Rachel is looking forward to the Morrow County Fair and Oregon Trail Rodeo August 16-20 where the court will show off their run-in outfits which consist of fawn-colored suede chaps featuring shimmering pink fringe and horseshoes carved on the bottom, a dusty rose long-sleeved shirt, and dark tan slacks. The outfit is coatiaaed from page aae Willow Creek Country Club J a c k and Jill Tournament July 28th, accented with a sliver belt buckle, silver earrings, a silver broach, tan gloves, a tan hat with a tiara and fawn-colored sueded rough-out boots. Princess Rachel encourages everyone to come on out to the fair to enjoy entertainers Lisa Nix and Zac Grooms and the Ed Dailey Variety Show, and especially the kickoff dance which will be held this Friday, August 4, from 7:30 p.m. to midnight. The kickoff dance will feature die final appearance of local group, Final Warning, with band members, Jeff Currin, Travis Bellamy, David Bates and Meghan Bailey. Disagrees with investigative report To the Editor: Enclosed find a letter which I would like for you to publish in your newspaper. It is in reference to the investigative report recently completed by the Department of Justice into the activities of the past Lexington Town Council: To the Council of the Town of Lexington, Oregon: After reviewing the Investigative Report, I would like to have two items corrected. Since this is a public document, I would like the minutes to reflect the corrected items and also a copy sent to the Attorney General's office, Department of Justice, ATT: Bryon Chat field, and copy of this letter placed in the permanent minutes of this meeting. Error #1 Page 10, Paragraph 3: Sheirbon said that it was the 1996-1997 review and discussion with the CPA that caused the council to make changes to the town recorder's bookkeeping practices . Sheirbon indicated that he might have seen a draft of the letter (eventually dated June 19, 1998), from Gerald Moro, CPA, for Barnett and-Moro, or they may have discussed it prior to the town council meeting of May 12, 1998. Sheirbon stated that prior to the letter, he, John Ripple and Bob Taylor were working with Baker to improve her bookkeeping skills. I, Bob Taylor, was not involved with the Lexington Town Council from January 1,1995, to December 2,U 19$^L 1 was not involved' in ’ any working with Susan Baker to improve her bookkeeping skills and I do not want my name associated with anyone who would fabricate a lie such as that. Error #2 Document dated 12- 31-94: Budget committee raised my salary to $850.00.1 will not take the raise until 1-1-95. At that time I will carryover $375.00 per month. This I will use at a later time. I will not draw the total amount owing to me at one time or in one year. I will draw this amount out over a couple of years. -Susan L. Baker I, Bob Taylor, was mayor of Lexington on 12-31-94, but did not attend any meeting that was held Saturday night, New Year's Eve. There was no planned or authorized meeting of the budget committee for that evening. If there was a meeting to make this decision, it was called illegally by someone else. I am also submitting a copy of this letter to area newspapers plus sending a copy to the Department of Justice. (s) Robert R.
