Sheriff's Report The Morrow County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) reports handling the following business: MCSO received a report of a car on the tracks on Highway 730 with a wheelchair behind the car and several people around. The caller thought there was a sign indicating that they needed help. A deputy gave the subjects a ride to Boardman for the night. MCSO, Boardman Police Dept, received a report of people trying to take a vehicle without paying at a truckmg/storage shed in Boardman. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report from a woman that her two daughters that were walking home were almost hit by two cars. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of a car keyed in the Riverside High School park ing lot. MCSO, Irrigon ambulance re ceived a report of a possible over dose, with the subject having sei zures. The patient was transported to Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Hermiston. Nov. 3: MCSO received a re port of a subject knocking on a bedroom window in Irrigon then running off. MCSO received a second call of someone in another yard. A deputy was unable to lo cate anyone. MCSO received a report from a log truck driver who said he picked up a female who had been in a motor vehicle accident on Willow Creek somewhere above the dam. The driver said the fe male was disoriented and he be lieved she was going to be sick but she refused an ambulance. The female, who was from Port land, was brought to Heppner by the truck driver. Oregon State Police, ODOT, Boardman Rescue, Boardman ambulance received a report of a van over the guardrail on 1-84 eastbound. Two patients were transported to Good Shepherd Community Hospital in Hermiston. MCSO, Heppner Police Dept, received a report from a man who said he was slandered and evicted. MCSO couldn’t make contact with Heppner Police Dept. MCSO received a report of graffiti at Stokes Landing in Irrigon. MCSO received a report of an unattended death. Oregon State Police received a report of an audible burglar alarm motion detector at Potlatch. MCSO received a request from Services to Children and Families that a deputy make contact. MCSO received a report of a lost Shitzu in Heppner. MCSO received a report of a possible fight at the RV park at Paul Smith and Kunze roads. The caller advised to disregard as it was just kids being loud. MCSO received a 911 hang up call from an Irrigon residence. MCSO received a report of two male subjects on another person’s property. Heppner Police Dept, received a report of an audible burglar alarm at Les Schwab Tire Center in Heppner. An officer was un able to locate anyone. Nov. 4: MCSO received a re quest for assistance from a female subject who said she came from California to pick up her mother in Lexington and her husband wouldn’t let her leave the resi dence. MCSO received a report of a cat attacked by the neighbor’s dog in Boardman. MCSO received a report of a Rottweiler tied to a trailer in Imgon that wasn’t being taken care of. MCSO received a report that a subject found two juveniles at tempting to bury mail that belonged to a neighbor. MCSO deputy arrested Jose Medina, Jr., 31, on a UCSO war rant for Failure to Appear/DUII. He was cited and released. MCSO received a report of heavy smoke in the Imgon area causing a nuisance on Highway 730. MCSO received a report of a male subject shooting a .22 near a residence in Boardman. MCSO, Boardm an Police Dept, received a report of a ver bal domestic dispute in Boardman. In the first call, the dispatcher could hear, “Put it down, put it down.” MCSO deputy arrested Carmen Jessie Ellis, 39, on an Imgon Justice Court warrant for pointing a firearm at another per son. She was cited and released. MCSO deputy assisted a dis- 1 abled motonst with a flat tire. Heppner Police Dept, received a request to speak to an officer concerning a neighbor problem. MCSO received a report of a problem with dogs barking in Imgon. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a request to speak to an officer. Nov. 5: Heppner Police Dept, received a report of someone at the bus shed in Heppner too early. It was someone working. MCSO received a report of two stray dogs, one Rottweiler and a mixed breed, whojust killed the caller’s daughter’s pet rabbits. Oregon State Police received a report of a calf out at the 1-84 Boardman rest area. MCSO received a report of a back door broken down and items missing from a house in Imgon. MCSO received a request for a deputy regarding noise caused by motorcyclists and dune buggies at the turkey shoots. The party had permission from the landowners to be there. Oregon State Police arrested William La Vaugh Sturgeon, 46, on a Morrow County Circuit Court warrant for Parole Violation/ Sexual H arassm ent. He was lodged at the UCSO Jail with no bail. MCSO received a report of a band of sheep that keep getting into the canal to get a dnnk at Paul Smith Road in Boardman and then can’t get out. Multnomah County Sheriffs Office received a report from an lone man who said a man with a bat at his Portland residence was trashing the place. MCSO, ODOT, lone Rescue, lone EMTs, Heppner ambulance received a report of a motor ve hicle accident with injuries ap proximately four miles west of lone on Highway 74. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of a fight between two males and one female behind the Boardman Texaco station. Boardman Police Dept, ar rested Jeffrey Layton Holmes, 28, on an Irrigon Justice Court war rant for Failure to Pay Fine/Fail- ure to Appear, Driving while Li cense Suspended. He was lodged at the UCSO Jail with a bail of $688. He also had a warrant out of the Hermiston Police Dept. MCSO received a report of a shack on property in lone was burning. The caller requested the MCSO not page it out as there were no surrounding buildings and rain would keep it from spread ing, but was concerned about the possibility of arsonists in the area. MCSO received a report of three cars hitting the same deer on 1-84 west of the 1-82 junction. MCSO, Irrigon ambulance re ceived a request for an ambulance for an eight year old having a sei zure in Irrigon. Oregon State Police received a report of two men hunting on property at the intersection of Rhea Creek and Willow Creek without permission. Oregon State Police received a report from a Hood River County Sheriffs Office sergeant that he found a possible aban doned methamphetamine lab while camping in this area. MCSO received a request from the Hermiston Police Dept, to as sist in locating a theft suspect in Imgon. MCSO received a report from a female subject that a male has been calling her and threatening to kill her and her boyfriend. MCSO received a report from a female subject that someone is leaving fishheads in her yard ev ery morning and one of her dogs was killed and four others were ill. The caller suspects the neigh bors. MCSO received a request to deliver a message to a female subject out hunting that a relative was being flown out on Lifeflight. Oregon State Police received a report o f a Honda Accord swerving all over the road on I- 84. MCSO received a report of a hang-up caller in Imgon. MCSO received a report of a suspicious white Ford parked at a grain elevator. MCSO deputy arrested Michael Torres, 19, for Failure to Pay Fine/Driving while License Suspended. He was released on $182 bail. MCSO received a report of an open door at the U.S. West sw itching station in Imgon. MCSO received a report of a buck in an alfalfa field near Hepp ner on Highway 74 that needed to be put down. MCSO received a report of 5- 6 cows out on Highway 730. Morrow County Behavioral Health received a request to re spond to a call fr^m Pioneer Me morial Hospital," Nov, 10: MCSO, Heppner Police Dept, received a report of a fight between two males at the old Miller’s Chevron station in Heppner. Heppner Fire and Police depts. received a report of a bus fire behind the St. Patrick’s Senior Center. Heppner ambulance received a request for an ambulance for a male with a possible stroke. The patient was transported to Pioneer Memonal Hospital in Heppner. MCSO received a report of two rings taken from a residence in Irrigon. Oregon State Police received a report of cows out on Highway 730. Boardman-Irrigon Assistance Center received a request for as sistance for a stranded motorist. Nov. 11: Heppner Police Dept, received a report of a suspicious vehicle cruising the parking lot with its headlights turned off. It turned out to be someone picking up pop cans. MCSO received a report of dogs barking in Irrigon and upon investigation, the caller found a deer stuck between fences. They were able to free the buck. Boardman Police Dept, re ceived a report of a hit-and-run. It turned out that it happened in Umatilla. MCSO received a report of an alarm at the Learning Center in Imgon.
