Members of the First Christian Church served. The menu for Sept. 29 will be oven baked chicken, hash brown potato casserole, mixed vegetables, lime cottage cheese salad, rolls and peanut butter cookies. Catholic Church members will serve. Eight volunteers folded Extension newsletters Tues., Sept. 14. The Red Cross blood draw ing was held Tuesday afternoon. There was a good number o f people donating blood. Exercise class was held Tues. and Thursday morning and pinochle played Tues. and Fri. afternoon. The video, "Elk Mania," was seen by seven seniors Sunday evening. The tape was filmed and produced by Velma Wight's son, Gary. He takes great wildlife pictures. There is a new tenant, Robert Red. on the second floor of the Senior Apartments and Corol Mitchell's mother is moving in on the third floor. We welcome them to the St. Patrick's family and hope that they will be happy here. Billy Lacey, a tenant on the second floor, will be moving out soon, to be near relatives in Washington. We will miss her. She is such a cheerful, helpful person. The "55 Alive" class was held in the dining room Sept. 20 and 21. It was a very helpful brush-up course in defensive driving for seniors. The bus schedule is The Dalles Discovery Center Sept. 30, at 8 a.m. and the Hardman Oyster Feed at 3:30 p.m. Oct. 2. The Reverend Carla Gamble performed the ceremony. The bride's parents are Rick and Pam Minster of Prairie City, Oregon. Perkins is the son o f David and Divra Perkins of Oakland, Oregon. The bride was given in marriage by her family. The matron of honor was the bride's sister, Crystal Eilers of Richland, WA. Bridesmaids were Becky Wagenblast o f LaGrande and Sarah Bishop of Portland. Best man was the groom's brother, Jared Perkins of Oakland. Groomsmen were Brooks Vincent of Oakland and Anthony Yi of Portland. The bride wore a floor-length A-line dress embroidered with pearls, a fingertip length veil and a pearl and rhinestone tiara. She wore a pearl necklace belonging to her maternal grandmother and carried a bouquet of white roses and pink Stargazer Lilies. The bride attended lone Schools, Eastern Oregon University, and graduated from the University of Portland in May of this year. She is employed as a biochemist at ChemTrace in Portland. The bridegroom graduated from Oakland High School in 1994 and the University of Portland in 1998. He is a design engineer for Allied Power Products of Beaverton.
